What I want. LT Moton LG Christensen C Paradis (Elflein if healthy) RG Miller RT Scott

I talked to an old man I used to watch football with when I lived in NC. Haven’t talked to him much since the season started but his opinion of Darnold was “his ceiling is higher than Teddys but his floor is much lower”. Sam could be Brett Favre or Jimmy Clausen. It’s still too early.

He was released by the Colts today. Considering our QB had a good 3-4 weeks before he’s hurt for the season, might not be a bad pick up to compete with PJ.

Bouye would probably fit the role better, but he’s been doing pretty well at CB.

John Fox is without a doubt our best HC. His problem was he couldn’t move on from Jake until it was too late Hurney didn’t exactly give him much to work with either afterwards. Rivera was overrated and should have given Cam and Luke half his salary for carrying him as long as they did. Dom was okay but the whole Collins thing kinda put a rain cloud over him. George was a good talent evaluator but lost the locker room pretty quick.

I mean, I’m not an NFL OL coach but can Christensen not play LG or RG and slide over Miller? Can Trent Scott not play guard? Can Elflein play center? Is Tecklenburg really worse than Paradis. I’m just looking for solutions

Cam had Gross in 11,12,13 at LT. He also had Kalil his entire time here at C. For a decent portion he had Trai Turner and Andrew Norwell together. Even Mike Remmers is better than anything we have now other than Moton. Had Oher at one point too. Cams interior OLs weren’t that bad it was just always the LT and RT spots that were sketchy. Like the whole Byron Bell and Nate Chandler ordeal.

About the same but I actually think the OL is worse and Mike Davis could catch where Chuba doesn’t know what catch means. Teddy took a lot more check downs where Darnold runs full speed, crow hops, and throws a 50/50 ball.

Yeah we benched Christensen with a 48% in PFF and left Miller and his legendary 22%. I know PFF isn’t everything but dam.

If he’s smart he leaves while his reputation still puts him in HC conversations. Another year of this will destroy that. Would be cool if Colts fire Frank Reich and we hire him as OC. Quite a pipe dream I know, we will get some former Baylor Offensive Assistant or Sean Ryan.

We will sneak one more in there out of nowhere to move about 5 spots down in the draft.

Yeah there was a thread a while back and I said that after all the games in October (Atlanta being the last) we would know our ID. They next two weeks are going to determine if we are a .500 team or a dumpster fire. We lose to the NYG and ATL we are in deep, deep trouble.

Likes: -Zane Gonzalez is 8/10 on FGs -Sam Darnold has 12 TDs -Bouye and Taylor are doing well Dislikes: -Sam has 7 INTs - Our OL is the worst I’ve ever seen as a Panthers fan. -Joe Brady is a bust and I fear they won’t have the guts to can him if he’s not hired as a HC somewhere.

Why so we can barely make the playoffs and get a worse draft pick. Cam doesn’t know this system so you are looking at weeks before he’s ready and our OL is worse than it ever was with him so he’ll be broke in half within 2 weeks. Watson? Hell no. As soon as we make a move for him the NFL will probably put him on the commissioners list to keep him off the field. Plus the media drama and bad publicity, no, just no.

Honestly we might have just been better off trading for a Safety to get Chandler the hell out of there. Taylor and Bouye aren’t doing a bad job. Our Safties are getting blown up in coverage though.

Not saying I won’t be by the end of the season but I really don’t think it’s going to be any better. I mean he looked like garbage in the pre-season against 2s and 3s and most of the huddle thought he lost the QB2 role to Grier.
