  1. Speaking of BOA I missed this tidbit last week
  2. I forgot Blackshear can kick/punt return as well. That's going to be a big factor in the depth we keep at running back and receiver. Aside from that I hope someone cuts a decent CB because that group isn't looking that good on paper.
  3. I thought I saw him say not fill it all with UDFA's, keeping spots open for vets and XFL guys
  4. Yeah that QB was not hitting him in stride to say the least from what I've seen. Haven't watched full tape yet though so who knows why rebel rouser thinks he can't get separation. I see nice routes and good long speed for the size
  5. I'd expect everyone to stuff the run and force ridder to throw the ball. I don't think us focusing on D-line run guys is a coincidence
  6. It's not like I'm comparing him to Elijah Moore. He's the same build as AJ Brown. What would be your player comp for Mingo?
  7. I watched some Cam Peoples highlights yesterday and didn't seem like anything special considering the type of power guy we could use.
  8. He was the 21st ranked DE right behind Byron Young who went two spots ahead. Serious drop off after that. We went for need, and the only possible regret with that is we chose Johnson over KJ Henry who was also available
  9. The serious lack of ILB's might have Chinn moving up closer to the ball. He's kinda the only guy that can cover TE's, we got a lot of safeties but they're all sub 6'. It was obvious last year it was a waste to have Chinn sitting back at FS so the closer to the ball the better
  10. It's apparent we took advantage of the deep 5th year senior Covid class. Eku was projected 5th round by NFL.com. Family is in Asheville but he's from Somoa, so Luvu will probably be stoked.
  11. Interesting. Watching his highlights I wouldn't be surprised if he gives YGM some trouble in camp. Looks good against the run, looks slower than ideal when rushing but seems to get good pressure at least
  12. Yeah the FA market is not good either, so hopefully he'll show some motivation from this new coaching staff.
  13. The list of Wr's that were available at 80 or wherever we picked, not good. I think since we have Burns it'll be easier to have a committee approach at OLB vs hoping AT Perry or Boutte could be a starting receiver. Also you can't draft 2 sub 6' players back to back so Mingo was the right pick at the position.
  14. I guess PFF, dunno how to view the full list https://zonecoverage.com/2020/minnesota-vikings-news/what-should-we-make-of-yannick-ngakoues-poor-numbers-against-the-run/#:~:text=Out of 70 defensive ends,43rd of 57 in 2017.
  15. If Mingo is anywhere close to AJ Brown it'll be a steal. He actually runs good routes I noticed watching tape, people don't really give him much credit for that
  16. He ranked like 68th out 70 among starters in 2020.
  17. I wonder how that works leverage wise now? I get teams waiting to see if they could draft one first. It seems like we're going to rotate a lot so I wonder how much they're willing to spend on a guy that's weak against the run? I like him but Haynes might put up the same amount of sacks if given the same amount of snaps
  18. It's a shame Mel Kiper has a career predicting young peoples futures.
