Yeah 3 dudes that should be balling but here we are
-
He probably broke some ribs, you can't do anything about that but wait til it heals
-
D'andre Swift is still out and it screwed up my whole game plan. My other options are Garrett Wilson or Kyle Pitts lol
-
Interested in seeing Boze under center and it looks like Cade may be active. I might have to begrudgingly play DJ Moore in my flex

Let the Ass Whooping commence.

Yeah that competition was fuging stupid from the second it start and everyone was completely aware of how dumb it was. There are ways to get young guys involved without them sitting on the sidelines until that last 3 snaps of practice
-
It's all so hypothetical right now, I'm wondering if we draft a guy, keep Corral and pick up a Minshew/Brissett type guy. The Steelers current situation might be the closest to reality as far as 3 dudes battling it out. Crazy thing is we don't even know who our staff is next year under that battle. QB FA list is pretty much our last 5 qbs and Minshew lol
-
What does top 3 backup mean? It's hard to judge anyone after Rhule just ruined like 4 QB's careers trying to save his own job. Zappe/Jones/Mills/Jones aren't anything mind blowing but their coaches got them functioning
-
Would you like getting 2-3 snaps a practice and being thrown into the 4th quarter of a preseason game? Guy wasn't given anywhere near a fair shot, especially with how McAdoo's offense got Baker looking. No way was this offseason training camp in favor of the QB's, it was about Rhule and McAdoo fuging around trying to stay relevant

Welp… Stroud is the guy, right?

Yeah dude is nasty. I was hoping for a DE or MLB higher up around 32 but I'm just not seeing or hearing about any guys balling out. Still early but doesn't seem like a great draft for Defense at the moment -
If we take Young with the first pick, I wanna also take Hendon Hooker if he's sitting there halfway through day 2. Most of these vet backup guys are pretty much washed and retired. We really don't need Baker/Sam/Teddy/PJ/Heinicke/etc in the building. Not only that they are recent Panthers Qb's, they are literally on the top of the 2023 FA list and we've already tried them all lol. Other options are Minshew, Brissett, maybe a Daniel Jones but he's doing ok. The days of having a FA Fitzpatrick/McCown are coming to an end

It finally seems like some adults that aren't trying to trade away our future to secure some short term security are in charge. I haven't like all the moves under Fitt obviously, but it's starting to seem like Rhule was the one throwing poo at the wall with random QB's and Baylor/Temple guys hoping something would cover up his lack of coaching skills. I'd give Fitt until February at least? He can't do a whole lot after the trade deadline in season so maybe the month of January to see if he clicks with HC prospects or however that works out

Not tuning in yet but seems like at some point in his career Stroud is going to have to start scrambling a little bit more than he's accustomed to, especially to increase his draft stock

Draft picks if the season ended today….
Jackie Lee replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Gonna be a while before people really dig into mock drafts but there's a lot of flexibility with 7 picks in first 5 rounds. Just don't know if this is the best draft for it outside of possibly a couple QB's being good -

They have lost to the Bears, Broncos, and Falcons already. -
He looked a little like Good Geno to me in that Bama game. More willing to sling it than Brissett, but not complete YOLO either
-
Pretty good primer for anyone just getting into the Draft QB's. This article if free for me at least for some reason https://theathletic.com/3714498/2022/10/21/nfl-draft-2023-qbs/

One positive I think for the OSU stigma His average time to throw of 2.69 seconds through Week 5 of the college football season is nearly a half second faster than Fields' average at Ohio State
-
Maybe they just threw him the slot because Levis and Richardson are on bye?

We're there. The QB watch is on
