Although he won't bash Sam, Teddy and Cam obviously had a positive impact on him on and off the field. Corral obviously wants to work but is young, and Baker is kind of a goofball off the field but I'm pretty sure they want it more on the field than Sam ever will. McAdoo's system is like a 180 from Brady, hope it's not in a bad way. People have always made fun of his Waffle House menu x10 play sheets

What would Sam have to do to reach the HoF

Time Stamped for where it gets interesting. Sounds like Joe Brady was not cut out for the job, earlier mentions Rhule was pretty much the first non racist coaching experience for him which I'll give credit to.
-
I'm cool with Baker starting if he earns the job and it'll be more fun to watch than last year, but I'm liking this Matt Corral underdog vibe. He definitely wants it more than Sam

He doesn't even practice anymore, just goes out there until his hamstrings flare up then hits the bench

Bakers got like 2 changes of clothes in a Panthers backpack and some cold brew. Keepin it simple

Yes, Fitt from last spring- Fitterer called Darnold and Bridgewater both "starting-level" quarterbacks, and said it will be coach Matt Rhule's decision who ultimately will start for the team.
-
Thought it was Fitts job to get really good players into the room and Rhules job to coach them and then decide who starts

Similar comment from yesterday "To me, my job is not to pick the starting quarterback," Rhule said Monday. "The players will do that with the way they play. My job is to make sure that we have really good players in the room, which we do, and make sure that they have opportunities. So it'll be a fun ride and when we know we'll know."

No one gonna trade for Jimmy G when he can be cut with a $1.5M cap hit.

Can't read behind paywall but this could be interesting. Ellis is a good writer and he was at Browns camp with Baker for a couple years.

Especially if he's like 5 feet tall and an ankle sprain renders him basically useless

Yeah there was another post with that highlighted haha. So he's probably been busted putting film on one device and playing video games or something on another.

We grabbed Matt Ioannidis for like $6M, maybe slightly different roles but it's pretty easy to get decent starting DT's for cheap. I feel like you want a top 10 pick to be someone who would eventually demand big money while you get high level production for a cheap 4 years. Shouldn't wait til year 3 or 4 for a top 10 pick to be a game changer, all the sudden it's not a cheap investment

I think Kawann Short getting lots of sacks for a few years has our DT expectations skewed. I think currently Aaron Donald/Cam Heyward/Chris Jones are the only DT's getting around 10 sacks a year, and they run you close to $20M annually. I think pressures is a better marker, unfortunately Brown regressed in the category

Adding mandatory film study in your QB contract isn't a great sign
-
He averaged like 4 sacks a year in college, had 3 last year. Don't really recall seeing anything mind blowing otherwise. Most sites rank him around the 24th or 25th best DT so not exactly top 10 pick production.
