  1. This is awful all around. Really hope that there is a thorough investigation conducted so that any victim(s) in this ordeal can obtain justice.
  2. This is what I'm wondering: since Hurney wanted to as he said "retool" last year rather than "rebuild," maybe they're committing to the rebuild now? Rather than last year being Year 1, it might have been Year 0?
  3. Phew. As of 6hrs ago they had made an offer to Samuel from several Patriots' fans on Twitter. Looks like they signed Nelson 2hrs ago, which means Curtis is still on the table \o/ \o/ \o/
  4. Lots of chatter right now saying that the Patriots are aggressive in pursuing him along with another team or two.
  5. Very curious if they're going to continue cutting guys and telling them they want them back on cheaper deals. Was apparently the case with Short and Obada. I'm wondering if this is in relation to that in anyway, or if the team is just looking for different options to put on the field aside from Brown & Roy?
  6. I like this one much, much better than the Elflein signing. I was high on Erving coming out of college and while he hasn't been up to what I had hoped, the fact that both of these dudes are on cheap deals makes it pretty clear that they're coming in to fill the gaps.
  7. Oh wow. Was expecting an interior OL, but not this one. I'm going to have to go and check up on how he was recently because afaik he was a pretty big disappointment in Minnesota. I do like the position flexibility that he brings tho.
  8. Are there any potential day 3 prospects or UDFAs that you're intrigued by?
  9. Looked incredibly smooth, comfortable, and in control. Love the intelligence of putting throws in there that QB-needy teams frequent in their playbooks. I've been getting higher and higher on Lance, and after his pro day I'm completely okay with waiting for him to slide to #8. For those that have been worried that the top 4 QBs will be off of the board by #8: that has never happened before in the history of the modern draft. The closest it has come to that was in 1999 when the first 3 selections were QBs (Tim Couch, Donovan McNabb, Akali Smith) before the next two QBs went at #11 & #12 (Dante Culpepper & Cade McNown). 2011 was also close when Cam went at #1, Locker #8, Gabbert #10, and Ponder at #12 (Dalton & Kaepernick went back-to-back early in the 2nd round).
  10. Trai Turner is apparently fat as a 320lbs RG but Travelle Wharton wasn't fat as a 315lbs LG? Huddle gonna huddle.
  11. This. With the current crop of free agents, incoming promising draft class, and reduced cap due to COVID it is an unwise gamble on his part imo. But hey, maybe a team looks at his age and tell themselves the cap is going to go back up. I just don't see that being the Panthers with EVERYTHING else going on with the offense.
  12. Considering Watson was only able to get 4 wins, and according to the Huddle a QB is solely responsible for the teams record, idk about the team being playoff bound with him at the helm. Plugging Watson in doesn't magically make the defense better last year either. That doesn't mean don't get him if he's available of course, but the idea that the only thing holding this team back from a postseason last year was a QB is ignorant at best, willfully misleading at worst.
  13. Been waiting since Mike Minter for the next great Panthers safety The wait is finally over.
  14. It doesn't, it's just that some people don't know poo about football.
  15. Couldn't find a summary tweet like with CMC, but here's the cached page from Spotrac: And the updated one for Shaq: Went from a cap hit of $14.18M this upcoming season to a cap hit of $6.828M, freeing up around $7.5M. Combined with CMC's restructure freeing up $5.638M, this opens up a little over a combined $13M
  16. Looking for details on Shaq's restructure
  17. He couldn't have picked a worse time to test the market imo Highly touted WR draft class, lots of veteran names in free agency, reduced cap space due to COVID The team might actually be able to retain him if WAS & NYG don't come with cash in hand.
  18. I'm guessing that Simms looks at a top 10 selection as "Start now" which makes sense on the take that Lance is a 2nd rounder. Mac Jones, despite his lack of mobility, is apparently as pro ready as a QB can be. I'm starting to really, really like the idea of Rashawn Slater at #8. Let him play LG his rookie season and then kick him outside to LT in his second season like the team did with Gross.
  19. Do you not recall how many people had Haskins rated over Jones and the beating Gettleman took for taking Jones instead?
  20. Imagine trying to argue that any OL with Greg Little & Chris Reed at LT & LG as being "not that bad"
