We should have just kept Slye if there wasn't a kicker out there that was clearly an upgrade. At least Slye was commited to the Panthers. He tatooed himself in a Panthers uniform on his arm ffs. And of course in true Panthers fashion he absolutely crushed it for the Texans on Sunday.

I just tossed it up to bad coaching. We should have went for it on 4th and 6 from the 33 if we didn’t trust the kicker. Punting made absolutely zero sense. Also a few drives later when it was 4th and 2 inside the 10 yard line we should have kicked the easy FG to put some points on the board as it was still 0-0. Oh course we end up fumbling and turning the ball over. Sorry but that is just terrible decision making on all accounts. Even the shitty CBS commentators were wondering wtf Rhule was thinking.

This is why guys need real live reps to work on timing and such need to play in the preseason. Everyone on offense outside of CMC looked rusty as hell against a shitty Jets team. Terrece looked good in the preseason because he was mainly playing against 2s and 3s. He only had maybe 12 actual game snaps with Sam Darnold all preseason. Coddling Darnold and the rest of the offense outside of CMC was a mistake and it showed yesterday. No excuse to not hang 30+ on the Jets.

Should have been first if it wasn’t for the ghost of Ron Rivera taking over Matt Rhule in the second half. I am tired of watch soft weak ass zone defense get gashed in the second half when we have any type of lead year after year, regardless of who’s coaching.

Paradis probably got a higher grade because the guard play next to him was so bad.

Next week is going to be brutal.

Didn’t he give up a TD to Davis? Also he had the underneath zone on the first TD to Davis and looked like he had no idea Davis was coming across the end zone behind him.

Coaching and coaching. Defensive calls were the best of the bunch but I’m guessing the move to conservative zone in the second half almost fuged us. Matt Rhule had some serious head scratchers and seemed lost at times. Joe Brady and Blackburn were fuging horrendous today. It’s like nothing changed with them from last season / may have seen some regression. Very alarming.

Just remember, Darnold is still only 24. Hope he builds on this first half performance.
