  1. I can definitely understand Robby's frustrations now. It seems like even the players know the poo he is calling isn't working and he doesn't seem to care or adjust. Robby tells Joe the routes he is drawing up for him suck. From what I gathered from this press conference, Brady is basically saying no, you just need to execute better. Yeah I am sure the reason we can't score points in the 3rd quarter of games is because of player execution. It must have nothing to do with the fact that the opposing defense is seeing all of the same poo we ran in the first half and are probably shocked we are still trying to run that trash. Seriously, every time we have lined up in a power rushing formation, (Hey Joe, we have a fullback on the team.) we have tried to run the ball right up the gut. It has been completely shut down every fuging time going on 2 seasons now. Any good coach who has watched film on us sees that formation and knows exactly what we are about to do. Mike fuging Shula got more creative ffs. He used to call those play action bootlegs and have Greg or another TE wide open on a drag route. Seriously we used to run this play and different variations of it quite a bit with great success. Another one (Sorry Youtube will not allow it to be embedded.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tuus9bvanM
  2. He said those 4 or 5 guys are what they are and are not going to get better. At this point in the season if you don’t have young talent you’re pretty much screwed. We have 2 young draft picks. One we have been playing out of his natural position when he’s played and one hasn’t seen the field. They’re the only hope in getting better this season since the guys we’ve been fielding have no chance to improve. Just because they aren’t starting already doesn’t mean we don’t have young talent.
  3. So he said there isn’t a lot of time during halftime and they need to stick to the gameplan they worked on and execute in the second half whether it’s the first snap or the second half of the start of the second quarter. They he says the other coaches are also playing the chess game and aren’t going to come out in the second half showing you the same stuff you’ve been seeing all game. So did he just admit teams we’re playing are making adjustments against us but we just stick to the game plan and just need to execute better? Opponents have already come out and said we are running the same poo over and over again and it’s allowing them to capitalize on that. Brady needs to get his ass out of the press box because I’m convinced he has no idea what he’s looking at when it comes to reading opponents defenses. That’s the main reason you’re in the box to begin with. If you can’t tell your opponents defense is sitting on the routes you’re calling for your receivers we’re fuged.
  4. So he’s basically saying what a bunch of dudes on a football message board have been bitching about all season. Play your young guys since the vets on the team already suck and aren’t going to magically get better. At least the young guys have a chance to improve. Why can everyone see and understand this but our coaching staff can’t?
  5. At this rate we probably won’t see him until after the bye week. He should be 100% with another 6 weeks rest, right? Only reason I can see as to why they didn’t IR him is so they can make teams have to guess with their gameplan if he’s going to play. That’s amateur hour. With all our other injuries the extra roster spot would be mighty useful.
  6. Either way, if Darnold makes a better pass we’re probably not having this conversation right now. Robby needs to make those hard catches and Darnold shouldn’t be missing easy 5 yard throws, especially in crucial late game situations.
  7. Well then I’d imagine he’s probably worse than Paradis since he’s already a mediocre guard. I just want to see our best players on the field without taking guys out of their best position. Moton needs to stay at RT. Brady needs to be on the field and I just don’t see him as a guard and he is most experienced at LT. Erving is a decent run blocker which would be very welcoming from the LG spot. I don’t want to hear about weight anymore. Get Brown on the damn field. Miller is going to get Darnold killed sooner or later.
  8. To all of you saying Robby should have caught that first down pass, How about Darnold throw a better, catchable pass. Robby laid out and still barely got his finger tip on it. That isn’t a drop. That’s a bad pass.
  9. I would love to see a Brady, Cam, Matt, Deonte, Taylor line up. Maybe even swap Pat for Matt but I don’t think I’ve ever seen Elflien play center in the NFL.
  10. Agreed. I predict a first half lead provided by dominant defense. Until he proves us otherwise, Brady forgets how to adjust his game plan resulting in a lackluster scoreless 3rd quarter allowing the Vikings to get back into the game. The 4th quarter is a close back and forth defensive battle but again, Rhule leans too heavily on the defense leaving them gassed. Brady goes conservative on offensive instead of being aggressive trying to put the game away allowing the Vikings to bring it to within 2. We hang onto a 2 point lead until the final 2 minutes of the game punting the ball away instead of going for a 58 yard field goal. Vikings drive down the field against a tired Panthers defense and kick a game wining 52 yarder to win by 1. No CMC again, offensive line almost gets Sam killed, and we see pretty much the same crap we’ve seen since Dallas. But hey, we had an amazing practice on Wednesday, right?
  11. That's what I'm saying. Moton is set at RT. Armstead and Williams fix the left side of the line. A first round rookie Center preferably and maybe Deonte Brown develops and the line is fixed and set for the next 4 years in one offseason.
  12. Dump our cap into Terron Armstead and Connor Williams in free agency and draft the best Center available. Boom offensive line is fixed.
  13. Holy hell I thought the video was sped up when Rhule started giving his response. Nope, it was actually just the insane amount of panic in his voice.
  14. We have a second year NFL coaching staff and it is really starting to show.
  15. Sorry but this a terrible take. The offensive line in 2005 would be the best line this team would have fielded in the last decade. That allows a guy like Nick Going to look like an actual NFL running back and gave Jake enough time to sit in the pocket and deliver deep balls to Steve Smith. This current team cannot do any of that. We have plenty of talent at the skill positions and it shows flashes when Sam gets some protection. It seems like as the game goes on, the offensive gets worse and starts to falter probably because the other team is seeing what we are doing and adjusts to shut it down. On the other hand, I'm convinced Joe Brady doesn't know what he's looking at when it comes to opposing defenses and how to call plays to counter those looks. After 5 games, I don't think it is a coincidence that the offensive completely flatlines come the third quarter. Opposing defenses adjust and Joe Brady is either incapable of recognizing that or just too stubborn to give a poo. Running similar plays over and over to the point where opposing players know what a receiver is about to do before the ball is snapped has nothing to do with a players talent or ability to get open. It is nothing more than piss poor coaching and play calling.
  16. Yeah guys were fine. There definitely isn’t a single available free agent that can do better than that poo.
  17. We have an offensive line that ranks in the bottom 5 in the league and is dead last in some categories. These guys may not be an upgrade for those 20 other teams but these guys on their couch could be better than the garbage we’re putting out there currently. We will never know though if our staff just continues to sit on their hands. Edit: Also a lot of teams are cap strapped and we have like the 3rd most available cap in the league. A lot of these 30 year old vets aren’t willing to come back and play for peanuts. You think a guy like Richard Sherman, who may or may not have been an upgrade for us, would have come to play here for the vet minimum?
  18. We’ve all been saying that since before the season and it still hasn’t happened. If Erving wasn’t injured literally nothing would have changed.
  19. You can’t care about something like that when the line is playing this bad. Didn’t stop us with the kicking situation. You also need a backup center on game days so it’s not really taking up a roster spot. They should literally be trying anything other than what’s been on the field so far.
  20. This isn’t butthurt. I’m legit concerned our QB won’t make it through the season and we gave up draft capital to acquire him and already committed to his salary next season. The staff watching the offensive line do their best job to get Darnold killed on the field and not even attempting to do anything about it is alarming. I mean we all literally just got done watching Cam Newton’s career get ruined for the same fuging reason. They signed some guys in the offseason and it clearly hasn’t worked out. Bring in some new guys and see if they’re any better. Absolutely nothing to lose but some cap space this year which we have plenty of.
  21. Guys like David Decastro, Kelece Osemele, Brian Winters, Ben Garland, Russell Bodine, Hroniss Grasu Should all be getting phone calls seeing what there status is. I don’t care if they are coming off injury or were dog poo last season. I mean we signed fuging Pay Elflien and Cam Erving to multi year deals FFS. They should be doing everything in their power to make sure Darnold doesn’t get ruined in his first season here. We already committed 18.5 million to him next season.
  22. Rhule said it has to do with weight management and getting up to game speed in the NFL. I don’t think that would apply to guys who are vets in the league with years and years of experience.
  23. They’re only real weak spot on defense is their corners. They have some good DTs and Danielle Hunter is a freak. Once Darnold gets rocked a few times we are looking at Philly all over again, except the Vikings have actual weapons on offense that can put up points. Only thing we have going for us is Kirk Cousins isn’t mobile.
