  1. At a minimum, this type of thing is just good to gauge the general feel and direction of things. I imagine we'll get more into his vision, some big picture stuff beyond that short interview he had. Expect to hear a lot of generalities and to players we already have, but I'm excited to see what other takeaways come from it. If he came to his interview as prepared as it sounded, he could have a pretty strong plan in place. Would love to hear what he sold to Tepper and what we should expect. Also--He's quite a different dude than Ron & Matt so it's going to be a different feel than we're used to from the HC.
  2. Big Nazareth fan by the sounds of it ha Bond & Mission Impossible fan as well.
  3. Hey Folks. Before the bot swoops in, heads up! https://www.panthers.com/news/head-coach-frank-reich-will-hold-introductory-press-conference-on-tuesday Hopefully our god awful local reporters ask him some questions regarding how he's going to build out his staff. What I'd like to see: Him describe the offensive vision Type of players he wants to bring in Playcalling -- is it dependent on the hire? Will he take the reigns? What's everyone hoping to hear?
  4. Yep, it takes finding the passing lanes with good arc & velocity. Brees did it tremendously well. Bryce shows a lot of freaking talent in this department. Just really navigates smoothly and finds the lane. He threw over the line between the hash really well and I didn't see much issue. He's been able to stay in the pocket and find guys in the middle which is the biggest concern that emerges from the size discussion aside from injury potential, which I think is overblown. Everyone playing is at risk of an injury. Biggest to the smallest, and I don't see reason to think he's not durable. He's taken good licks over the years.
  5. I'm happy we didn't reach on a QB from 2006-2009 to eventually replace Jake. There were very few good ones to come out of those drafts and none that we could've even drafted in R1-2. Flacco would be an exception but he was taken a pick before us. Also don't like the narrative that Clausen led us to Cam. That was more on Matt Moore pulling a Kevin Kolb/Kyle Allen and teasing us he was our future, then flopping terribly. That saved us from a lot of pain and heartache, and truly led us from the end of Delhomme to Cam. No "bridge" required. A popular opinion: I still can't believe we didn't draft a QB high with Rhule. It is still mind boggling how poorly he did at trying to build an NFL team.
  6. Truly unpopular? Rasul Douglas should have had a 3-4 year extension/new contract. WIth all the complaining about contracts for our D, he would've solidified the outside and we could've gotten way more aggressive with QB. Would have been easy to let Jackson go. Totally change the current build.
  7. We could honestly be a great bet for him given he's clearly not getting an HC spot and we did our homework. If both parties are fans, he could easily be here.
  8. Ohhh ok this has gotten interesting. Not the biggest Moore fan but he's soo freaking young. Could see him learning a lot under a guy like Reich.
  9. That's what I imagine Shanahan was afraid might be the case but their booth just didn't have the time to confirm.
  10. Can we also just all admit the helmetless rule on the field of play is absolute bullsh*t and end it?
  11. Would've been nice to have Williams in Feb 2016 or Sept 2016.
  12. These Champ games are the best atmosphere wise. Less new wealth idiots in the stands, the dudes really bring it, it's just fun, so much less spectacle yet just as much stakes at play.
  13. A shining light today (w/a tad of flawed logic) is that this Iggles staff was all Reich understudies not long ago. So at least we've got that going for us
  14. The visor v. the flat brim. Truly a sight to behold.
  15. I am and will forever be grateful (and have zero regrets) that we got a top-3 all-time LB (possibly top-5 defensive player all time) in Kuechly in 2012, but Fletcher Cox has had himself a HOF career and could grab his second SB this season. I remember wanting him soooo bad in that draft so it's cool to see him still going strong and leading that defense. One of the most unheralded D-lineman in the entire league IMO.
  16. Also--outside of Philly, the NFC is open damn season next year. Really hope we figure this QB situation out.
  17. Do people not realize it was likely that the UFA in Reddick wanted to play for his favorite team that he grew up loving, in his hometown? The Burns/Reddick stuff is so ridiculous. If you don't want Burns fine, but it was highly unlikely we were going to retain Reddick and it was something I believe many were okay with at the time.
  18. We literally have no idea who Reich has in mind, has spoken to, or how he wants to do this. Who even knows if Fangio was his top choice. All we know is that we interviewed him while still looking for an HC. Anyone getting mad already has some serious machinations bubbling in their dome and needs a snickers.
  19. Overall, just a smart, well executed drive there for the Iggles.
  20. He's got that Beckham/G Wilson type gene. Such a great blend of finesse and explosive. Perfect route runner, sub 4.4. Just a stud.
