Panthers Week 1 & Season Predictions - A Thread
Bear Hands replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
For sure. Didn't see them losing to the Pats, but I did fear they would be suspect with no BC and after Burrow looked shaky even when healthy last year. They've got some issues there. -

Yeah. Falcons lose the Steelers at home Bengals to the Patriots Two huge duds. -
Yeah drop back, set, weight distribution, it's just street ball for the kid. No discipline, it removes any decent velocity from the ball when you don't get those fundamentals right.
-
You look bad for Reich, you look bad for Brown, you look bad for Canales, you may just be bad. I mean the kid can barely produce 2 scoring drives per game. No awareness, no field vision, no ability to outrun defenders, no pocket presence, nothing. Zilch.

I take back everything but Leota lol. Had to bring some optimism before the inevitable product showed its rear. -
Bryce 6/12 42 yards, 4.2 YPA. 1 INT Checks out
-
The problem is Tepper (obviously) and Bryce.

Not much even needs to be said anymore. We have and continue to suck. Can’t change the owner but you can change what you watch football wise and what you do on Sundays. -
Turned off. @ me for any moderating needs.

Innacurate

Probably Beck or Allar

Defense looks physically slow. Well, maybe mentally too.

Let’s just ramp the JT kool aid to 10 and spike it. He’s gonna eat and have a Kincaid type season. Not full LaPorta but pretty..preettty good

International games are money bringers but I personally hate them. Can't believe the goal is for every team to have 1 international game per year. I get it, but the forced global reach is straining. I think it would be much cooler if they focused on enriching the existing fanbases--- have 1 game as a "home away from home" game. I.E. - Falcons in Athens, Packers at Camp Randall, Panthers at Kidd Brewer, etc.

Willis is terrible. Absolutely terrible. They're better off with pretty much any other QB. If it's a 4-6 weeker (best case scenario), they absolutely grab someone else. If it's a season ender, they still should. He has no awareness to even use his speed effectively, no feel for the QB position. If they even get to one game with him, I think it will be so bad they will have to change for the betterment of the locker room.

People seriously wanted to consider Willis in round 1 lol Unless there was some magical medical avoidance, Love is done for the year. Packers season is over.

Ja'Tavion Sanders is our starter at TE

I'm not bullish on Tremble for 2024, but it's a mischaracterization to say he's one of the bad apples here. He's very much a Trey Burton-esque dude. Anyhoo, here's to hoping we landed something in Sanders. I said before, I'll say again, I see a better blocking Evan Engram when I watch him. -

I wouldn't lump him in with the bad...he's actually been pretty solid. He's done well when asked to make things happen. He's been on pretty awful teams and isn't probably a TE1, but he's pretty solid in many respects. Some great TDs on limited snaps and targets. -

Agree. I'm a huge fan and think we found ourselves a dude with this pick. Gut feeling, but from what I've seen, he instantly looked NFL ready. -
https://x.com/josephperson/status/1832108853544325607?t=XySrwDY-DGKq19-q16Y2OA&s=19 If he looks good, I imagine he could stick moving forward. Looks like it's Sanders in 11, Sanders-Matthews in 12 personnel. And I mean, he looked good in preseason. Passed the eye test. Don't forget, he produced super well in a loaded receiving room with Worthy, AD Mitchell, & Wittingham. Exciting to see; this is the opposite of what we're used to with a rookie being given a big shot from the onset.

Redraft: Diontae and Hubbard are good bets based on anticipated touches. That’s it for us. Don’t like Bryce as a QB2 or any of the other WRs. Dynasty: -Brooks and Sanders are good buys. Sanders is a solid taxi squad stash. -Mingo and Legette are tossups in dynasty, wouldn’t take in redraft. -IDP, no DLs, Jewell is a sleeper at LB and Fuller at S.
