Very evenly spaced out w/so many acquired through trades. I think we were a bit more intentional with our moves than Morgan let on.

Another good example being Navorro Bowman his rookie year learning behind Takeo Spikes. Once Fangio and Evero took over there, they coached him up and he became one of the best duos in the league with Willis. Had a season behind Spikes and then put the league on notice. Trevin has a year to learn behind Shaq and then get fierce.

Jarvis Brownlee Jr. FS/NB could be a dude that surprises as a selection. Similar to Cobie Durant who was part of Evero's backfield.

Malik Washington & Caelen Carson would be my two biggest wishes from the remaining crop. Who knows, maybe they finally get a guy I like lol. Never seems to happen ha.

Very important point. At the end of the day, this is their work and they're in charge of bringing the right guys in after interviews. From a fans lens, we look at the field play and interviews here and there and just hope for the best guy from the outside looking in. But it is absolutely critical they get guys that mesh best with their approach, culture, locker room. They're building a workplace. They have their board with their blocks and they're drafting based off that. We'll see if they got some guys that stick this year.

As good of a presence Thielen is for the locker room, his lack of speed in the slot hampers us. It's also why I could see Malik Washington or Cowing as much as Brenden Rice or Javon Baker if we go WR today.

Ha fair - he's a guy I'm hyped about so that's where my optimism comes from. Overall, he's a pass catcher, quick cutter, big play guy that could have a really nice rookie season for us.

I'd rather trade up to get another 4th. We're hitting a fringe in the draft and would prefer landing impact over camp bodies. 2 guys to compete for playing time + 1 camp body > 1 guy and 3 camp bodies

I don't expect XL to start. He's not on the field for 12 personnel. For 11, he'll get abundant snaps but he's not starting Z or Slot early downs. He'll still a lot of snaps but technically speaking, not starting.

Brooks himself confirmed he's already running and will be ready for training camp come July. There's diff types of tears and a 6th month recovery for a clean tear linesn up. If that's the case, I think he's getting snaps immediately and that could be bulk/majority by midseason worst case.

Precisely. He's a really good fit. Evero is finally getting the defense he wants. He got his field captain back in Jewell, 2 dudes from his SB winning Rams defense in Robinson & Fuller, then brought in Hill who was there with him as well. Horn is really nice for the Ramsay/Surtain role and they still need that extra DB for nickle and dime. Jackson seems aight but an upgrade could really help. Caelen Carson would be nice.

I'm excited for our LB room after checking more of his stuff. Also spent a minute looking back at Evero's work in 2022 in DEN with Jewell. Jewell was the lone ILB in his penny fronts and played fantastic that year (unreal game against KC), and when they had Singleton in with him for their base cover 6/2-HS, they played so fast together with some real fun disguises and blitzes. Seems like Trevin will be a great fit for Evero. I don't know if Shaq's going to have the speed post-injury (especially at his age) so this is a really smart move and he could be our LB of the future (or sooner). See no reason why this kid can't succeed in this environment and have an earlier impact than anticipated. Still need another DB to help with our 5 and 6 DB packages, but this is a very strong move and I love the fit.

The sideline-to-sideline quickness/ability to cover so much of the field is big in the 2-high shell. Can ease in for now, but he fits the scheme nicely.

Interesting to note: We'll end up with a pick in every round this year and gained our missing 2nd back next year. Notable Bryce-trade capital was retrieved without losing anything beyond. Albeit, you can't recoup us landing the #1 overall pick, but it's still aight maneuvering.

Rice, Malik and Baker for sure at WR. Stover at TE Van Pran, Nourzad or Bortoloni at C Tampa, Carson, Khyree Jackson, Myles Harden at CB Mustapha at Safety Kamara or gabe Murphy at EDGE
