You think folks living in multi-million dollar homes on the lake Norman will take light rail? Nope, they will use toll roads. My point is Charlotte will spend huge money likely around a billion to take revenue from itself. They just finished I77 construction like 2-3 years ago…
-
Again, they spent close to a billion dollar on toll lanes already to help the traffic. Traffic going south is way worse to be fair. It’s stop and go nearly 24/7. Airport is a freaking nightmare. One of the largest airports in US with basically one way in and out and not enough parking.
-
No, its South Park and Ballantyne.
-
They already have light rail going north. This will kill little toll lanes revenue they are getting as is. Also, most folks who work in uptown live East and South, not North. They need light rail from the airport more than anything. Not another light rail going North.
-
Red line. Also going North , this time to Lake Norman, parallel to I77 where Charlotte spent nearly billion of tax payer money on toll lanes. Yes, the taxpayers will foot the bill this time too. https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/all-aboard-city-charlotte-reaches-historic-agreement-red-line-records-show/AGX6PI5T6VA43IBX7K4OI4RZPM/

CBS does not think Bryce makes the leap
Lame Duck replied to Jackie Lee's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce, that’s your year to swim or sink. No pressure. -
Basically Bryce Young has a noodle arm and he won’t fit balls into tight windows. Too many question marks but we will likely suck cause of Young.

It better be 40 stories hotel with insane amenities
-
It said “at this time” as of May. You honestly think practicality with 5,000 seats cost $1.2B?
-
For $1.2B… it better be. You can build a brand new dome for that money. They will clearly reface the entire stadium inside and out. If I had to guess, they will get rid of Jumbotrons and will put roof over it. I expect they will announce their plans soon.

Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs
Lame Duck replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
I felt like Fields was ready to breakout. He has all the tools to be successful in NFL but they got rid of him for basically nothing and got rookie on a team that ready to compete now. -

I’ll get it as long as red zone comes with it. -
Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs
Lame Duck replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
Almost none. They did not unleashed him until regular season. 1. Vs Giants 8/19 134yards 0/0 no rushing yards 2. Vs Dolphins 7/14 66yards 0/0 18 yards rushing on 4 attempts with no TD 3. Vs Bengals 6/19 75 yards 0/0 49 yards rushing on 4 attempts with 1 TD 4. Vs Steeler 3/5 25 yards 1/0 19 yards rushing on 1 attempt with no TDs One thing to note… Smith and Olsen barely played during preseason. -
Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs
Lame Duck replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
In 4 reason games Cam threw for 300 yards, 1 TD, 0 int and 43% completion percentage. He played substantial snaps in 2 games and he sucked in one and did good in the other. -
Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs

To me it screams bears OL is ass. Hope Caleb can get rid off the ball in under 3 seconds. -
For anyone who cares… Sounds like Bryce last season but worse. The Athletic’s Jon Greenberg reports Caleb Williams and the Bears offense has struggled during OTAs. Bears beat writers have reported plenty of Williams’ passes hitting the ground, difficulties getting set for plays, and constant pressure on the rookie from the Chicago defense. Greenberg said Williams was “under pressure while his receivers (which didn’t include Rome Odunze or Keenan Allen) tried to get open. There were a few just-missed interceptions. Sometimes, Williams couldn’t even get passes off as the secondary used its space advantage in the red zone to shut down receivers. We saw a lot of screen passes, many of which turned into scores. Occasionally, the offense struggled to line up or get a play off.” Hopefully a full summer of practices against a tough Bears defense will prepare Williams — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft — for live action competition starting with the Titans in Week 1.

For Those Who Think Brooks is too Small to be a 3 Down Back...

For Those Who Think Brooks is too Small to be a 3 Down Back...
Lame Duck replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
They are very different backs. I don’t think folks understand the difference between north-south back and all purpose back. Jonathan Steward had 1.3k receiving yards in 11 season. Gurley who Brooks resembles to had 2.3k yards in 6 seasons (1.7k in his 3 season before he got hurt) -
Brady’s contract is insane as well.

Legette is much much bigger than Mingo. His ass is bigger than Mingo shoulders.

I need to see my self out… I read it as “Horny says”

There was a discussion about it for over a year. $1.2B split between Panthers and the city. Almost certain they will put a roof over BofA and probably add more seats. Locals are pissed about the expense so city and Tepper kept it hush hush.

Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?
Lame Duck replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea, he was 32nd pick, 1 year prior to NFL expansion.
