33rd Team has a mock out today
Ricky Prickles replied to UnluckyforSome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Who are you suggesting or hoping for? Sanders is out because Deion wont allow it. Who else you got? TMAC probably out too when we finish with about 5 or 6 wins im guessing. -
Wampum? Isnt that money in another country or something? I swear I have heard of "wampum" before.....?

I agree with you, I just dont think we are going to get a top three draft pick as awesome as it would be. I would be willing to bet we get up to 6 wins this season which takes us away from one of the coveted top draft spots that we could potentially get multiple picks for. We definitely dont have us a good team we are rooting for. I just think we are going to get some more lucky bounces of the ball and lucky plays to get us a few more wins. Bryce will probably continue to look mediocre at best so im at east hoping they dont decide to roll with him as the starter next year again if so. I think we should just draft BPA all the way through because we need so many holes filled in so many areas.

I honestly didn't even know who Wonnum was but I sure did like his motor yesterday. The guy makes others around him better while being a difference maker himself. How long do we have him for? He definitely interests me as a piece of the puzzle moving forward

I would like grass back as well. It would cut down on his concerts he wants to host but would probably cut down on player injuries also. As usual, I will speak to Dave about this on Thursday evening during our weekly Pokemon trading card club meeting.

Players play to win period. You win the games you do and lose the games you do and where the chips fall is the spot you draft. Tanking is a fantasy that few teams ever take part in. Tanking helps players perform even worse and lose millions in potential income so it ain't happening and might as well get used to beating shitty teams because this team is bad but not very bottom of the league bad. Nowhere close to good at all but this team is not getting us a number 1 pick in the draft because they are able to beat the actual shittiest teams in the league who are competing for the number 1 -3 picks.

Wish we could have had the current Baker here and developed him to this point

I don't wish Bryce any ill will but don't feel as if he is the future. When he looks a little better then I'm always happy and I will say he does not appear to be playing as afraid as he was. Still has a ways to go but playing a little less scared. I don't hope for bad performances out of him at all and happy to see him improve any at all but at the same time still do not see nearly enough to warrant calling him the future either. Just my honest assessment but I'm never going to get mad if he plays better yet I have not seen enough to say he is the future currently. Let's see what the rest of the season holds.

He was what we thought he was. Good riddance and enjoy that big check that NY is thankfully paying

Panthers vs. Giants in München
Ricky Prickles replied to Chief_Chokeaho's topic in Carolina Panthers
Totally makes sense -
So I was wrong on the sacks but he still sucks playing the run and is a huge liability. He also has zero tenacity in him because it took playing the Panthers and him getting hyped all up to get his second sack of the season. If he had any nastiness about him, he would have many more sacks of he can motivate himself so much to get sacks at will like this. He isnt worth anywhere near what the Giants paid for him. Good riddance.
-
Yeah but he still sucks against the run and is a liability. He also shows how much actual grit he really has because it took this game to get him to actually do something and get his second sack of the season (he only had one leading into this game correct?). If he had any heart he would get himself up for every game and have many more by now. This is his super bowl today and he still isn't going to take the game over and change the outcome. Im still glad he is gone

Agree to disagree. Burns wasnt worth keeping either way and I'll take those future picks.

I have the advantage of being in retrospect now but I still don't see it with how much was offered.

Tepper in Germany drinking and singing with fans
Ricky Prickles replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm convinced that there would be some in here complain and bitch if he wrote a million dollar check to an abused women's or children's charity. Doesn't matter if he has made total poo decisions as an owner or not up until this point. Fact is he has remained fairly out of the spotlight this season and appears to have taken a step back and letting the football people make the decisions. It seems like he is slowly attempting to make moves to earn a little trust back and I won't even begin to try to deny that he has zero problems spending whatever he has to in order to try to make this team competitive. I'm not happy with his ownership so far but he is going nowhere so I'm hopeful he will keep eating his humble pie and slowly redeem himself. I'm not content with his ownership at all but some of you act like if he offered to buy you dinner and hang out that you would immediately turn him down. We all make mistakes in life and the truly smart ones learn their lessons and adjust. He may be going through his own evolution and doing just that who knows. He hasn't done anything this season to piss me off so I would say let him continue to slowly prove he is maturing as an owner. -
I will never forgive Fitterer for not taking that trade from the Rams. He is by far one of the worst GMs I have ever seen or right there at the very top. I wouldn't trust him to be in charge of cleaning sweaty jock straps much less run an NFL team. It's sad how far he set the team back by not taking that trade

I sure do miss the days of having guys like Cam, Luke, Peppers, Olsen, Steve Smith etc who were faces of the franchise and could dominant games. I hope we can soon find and develop future faces of the franchise like the past guys and find a strong identity with some game changers on defense.
-
I remember some of those poor showings by Peppers but even in those times I don't feel like Brian Burns would be anywhere close to his level. Peppers was better than Burns in every way. I've never seen Burns even once show that he could take an entire game over and severely affect the outcome and for the money he wanted I sort of expect him to have that Peppers ability. I know our defense is weak now but I'm still glad he is gone and so happy we didn't pay him that monstrous contract he wanted.
-
Not really. I don't think he is nearly as good as some think he was and his stats this year so far help back that up. He just isn't dominant for the money he got. I don't think we got much for him in trading but I sure as hell didn't want us to pay him what the Giants did. Remember the players on defense back in the day who were faces of the franchise and dominant? Burns definitely is no Peppers or Luke or anyone to that level and couldn't take over a game. He just wasn't as great as he thought he was in my opinion. We could use him of course but no way I would pay that kind of money for what he offers in his play.

Zero and he complains about his hamstring and sits some of the game

Past and future QB review with Dane Brugler
Ricky Prickles replied to Martin's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
Yes, and it sucks for us that his realization were true unfortunately. Little nice guy is probably exactly who you would want your daughter dating but not who you would want quarterbacking your NFL franchise. -
He does play aggressive and tough for a WR but he wont talk aggressive and wont talk too much trash. He is fairly quiet on gameday I can tell you that for certain with 3 years up close with him in college. Hell of a great guy and a physically strong athlete and competitor but pretty quite on the field

Past and future QB review with Dane Brugler
Ricky Prickles replied to Martin's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
I feel like its both his size/strength and his confidence but his lack of confidence I believe comes from the lack of size/strength -
I dont believe Bryce is the future at all but I also dont believe we should use a first on Sanders or Ward. Grab someone later in the draft or wait until next year is what I would do but if I were always right I would be a GM so theres that too I guess.

To end all questions, I think we should start him rest of season as long as he does not hinder the young WR's and TE's development. In other words as long as he does not go back to super awful possibly worst QB ever plays scared and afraid Bruce that we saw most of his career so far then let him keep playing this season and make a decision on what to do with him in the off season. If he grows great , if he stays the exact same as he is now with no more development then ship him out. If he goes back to classic Bryce then sit him again and at seasons end ship him out. If by some snow balls chance in hell he actually develops and looks good by seasons end then hang onto him. Simple as that really. He controls his own destiny on what happens to his career here is my opinion.
