  1. You can get nearly 3-to-1 odds on Cowboys -10.5/o41.5/Cowboys -6.5 1H parlay. Easy money, might as well make some $ off this clown show
  2. Only 18 of the retread coaches eventually won at least one playoff win. Nearly 87% of retread coaches get fired or retire without ever seeing any level of success after getting fired—even the coaches that were successful with their first team rarely see any real success with their subsequent teams. However, of the 328 times when a team hired a first-time head coach, 100 times the team won at least one playoff game during that new coach’s tenure (30.5%). Also, more importantly, 38 of the 328 first-time hires won a championship (11.6%). It’s valuable to note that 198 of those 328 first-time head coaching hires were never rehired by another team after leaving their first team. More than 60% of first-time head coaches will get fired and never get a second shot at being a head coach in the NFL. However, even with the high failure rate of NFL/AFL coaches, it’s important to highlight that championships are heavily in favor of first-time hires. Since 1960, 46 different NFL/AFL coaches have won a championship. 38 of 46 (82.6%) of those championship coaches were with their first team. https://thecapisfake.com/2023/07/13/should-nfl-teams-hire-retread-head-coaches/
  3. It's hard to untangle his success from Brady's, but he seems to be a pretty good OC and he's likely burned any and all likelihood of ever becoming a HC again, so I wouldn't think there's flight risk there. No real connectivity with Reich and co though so feel like he'd have to come in as an OC under a new staff with some connection to him.
  4. Based on the tweet posted right above your post by Steven Ruiz, that seems more like conjecture than anything rooted in facts
  5. From interviewing for HC gigs in January to being fired in November, quite the fall for Dorsey. Interested to see how Joe Brady does for the rest of the season.
  6. During games I'm of the "someone needs to be fired ASAP" mindset. After a night's sleep, I realize it doesn't really make sense at this point in the season. Might as well just ride it out, I think everyone deep down knows they are done, but might as well do some "work" to collect those paychecks and blow out the entire operation after week 18. The only thing I can see happening is firing Fitt and Tepper engaging a consultant/former exec to help him identify potential GM candidates who could then start developing their own HC lists. But I think you'll see an entirely new front office and staff here next season.
  7. The guy doesn’t even call plays anymore, just what the fug does Reich do?
  8. I think you actually have to fire someone after this game. Reich or Fitt, I don’t know which one, but one has to go.
  9. Bryce averaging 1.4 YPA on the other 13 pass attempts besides the 45 yarder…
  10. I'm sympathetic to Bryce playing behind a bad OL and with subpar receivers, but he's also a guy that was thought so highly of that he was the #1 overall pick. Howell is a 5th rounder who's also essentially a rookie (he played in 1 game last season) and is averaging 7.0 YPA with 14 TDs to 9 INTs while playing behind an arguably worse OL. Bryce is averaging 5.5 YPA, 8 TDs, 7 INTs (with two more lost fumbles as well). You can argue all you want about supporting cast but I would hope that the guy who was taken 1 could put up comparable stats to the guy taken 144th.
  11. Do you though? Honestly I think I would rather see if Ricky Lee or David Sharpe could be serviceable at LT because it's not like Icky has been (serviceable, that is).
  12. Just tried testing out myself. Other iPhone users, do you get this issue? No matter which way I try to copy the link from the iOS app, I always get an X link which refuses to embed. The only solution I’ve found that works is opening the link in Chrome/Safari and then copying the actual URL (which is a Twitter.com URL) from the URL bar. If I try to copy link from the actual tweet itself even within the mobile browser, it gives me an X link. Pretty annoying.
  13. You're thinking of the Texans game his rookie year, he broke his foot towards the end of that game just backpedaling I believe...also the same game where CMC pulled his hammy
  14. Believe it was mentioned he had gotten surgery on it so it was more than likely a torn hamstring. I'm assuming he misses both the Colts and Bears game and then has an outside shot at playing in week 11 vs the Cowboys.
  15. 23 of which came on 4 of those carries (Chubba long of 8, Young 7 yard scramble, Chubba's back to back 4 yard runs on the final drive), so the other 16 carries yielded a grand total of 10 yards.
  16. Chase Claypool put up a rookie year that eclipsed Marshall's entire career production. Hell, he put up a sophomore campaign that did the same and was on pace for similar production when the Bears traded for him. Obviously they didn't plan on trading the 32nd overall pick for what they got out of him. But the fact remains Claypool has shown WAY more production than Marshall ever has. I'm not sure why you're so gung-ho to do a Marshall and a 7th round pick for a 6th round pick swap deal? If we did that with the Bengals, it'd basically be akin to moving up like 15 spots in the draft order. Might as well see if he shows anything in these last 10 games if that's all the return is going to be.
  17. Why the fug would the Bengals trade a high day 3 pick for TMJ? Lmao when guys like Mecole Hardman and Donovan Peoples-Jones who have shown way more in the league are garnering 6th for 7th pick swaps or 6th/7th round picks 2 years out? The best we could hope for is something similar to the Robby Anderson deal last year.
  18. https://x.com/billbarnwell/status/1719389949357695363?s=46&t=TyPNsVcMFhB651jT1wRDxA
  19. I'm betting Jaylon Johnson wants to reset the CB market. Currently the only ones making $20m+/per are Jaire Alexander and Denzel Ward. He definitely wants to beat Jaire Alexander's 4-year/$84m salary average.
  20. He's going to get the bag. You don't trade a mid-30s pick to then not retain the guy. Just like Burns has the Panthers over the barrel in terms of negotiating leverage, so too does Sweat with the Bears. Guaranteed he's going to get more than Rashan Gary just got. I bet $27m per year is the absolute floor for AAV for his deal, probably going to be more than that.
