  1. Some actual detail on that would be great. The stuff you say, was out there but never real detailed or specific.
  2. Some insight about Peppers and JR how that all went down and the tag being used on him which I always felt was directly responsible for the big Jake extension. We were in no position to pay the 19 or 20 million tag charge at the time. It was also the domino that fell into getting Everette Brown and trading that future 1st. I thought. Would like to know. A lot of stuff around Bryce. A lot. Why? Why Not CJ, he looked so much better. I believe that ruined the Reich hire. More… love to get the actual real deal on who the moles/snitches were that were meddling over those 4 or 5 months. More… what the exact terms of Morgan’s hire, what was he told what did he agree to? Same for Canales. That’ll do for now.
  3. I guess it Is tough, defending him really doesn’t come with a lot of great material to credibly argue against his negatives. You only have stuff like he was great at Bama. Yes he can make all the throws. No that tippy toe passing mess doesn’t hurt him, it works for him. He made the playoffs and almost beat the Rams (your best one) He needs a TE in the first round, and another 1st round WR. And a coach that can actually call good plays and take advantage of his talent. See, that stuff is getting weaker line by line. I am running low already, tough assignment.
  4. Oh lord. I completely am not a guy who considered that movie a good idea.
  5. I don’t want to spend a spend a ton of time here but can’t let this pas without saying something. That is revisionist. We finished 6-6 under Wilks before Bryce. we added Bryce to the mix and ended up with the number one pick. Sank to the bottom. And fast. And stayed there. It took 3 years and untold picks and money to climb back to that 6-6 record that Wilks achieved with that ‘dumpster fire’ He is the main one who made us a dumpster fire in 2023. And this was even before Morgan turned his back on the defense. Only real difference was DJ Moore wasn’t here and that was not nothing but people were talking playoffs in 2023 until they had a few week of Bryce. Tepoer couldn’t get a coach that he wanted and a lot of that was who the hell wants to tie themselves to Bryce ? And an owner who wouldn’t dump him Canales did pretty well considering but it was all hands on deck to save Young in that offseason
  6. Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year. When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it. There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category. And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight. And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too. So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
  7. He is about my size. Before I got old and fat. I don’t know about a 5’7” person but I am not rooting for him just because of that. If he hadn’t set us back so far and led us to the number one pick that we no longer had, and all that stuff I would find it easier to be in his corner. Like day two pick, I’d root for him. But he’s probably already be gone or the backup to the next guy we drafted/signed. I’ll hand it to him for having the nerve to get out there but It hampers his game. He can’t see, trying to compensate affects his mechanics and how he plays. I am so over these rollouts to the right all the time.
  8. Yeah he has to do the coach speak supportive positive praise routine. Got a whole team to keep on board and pulling in the same direction. I will believe the poo or get off the pot thing when one of things actually happens.
  9. You can graduate from JAG to starter. What happened to him, he hasn’t stuck anywhere. We could have used him back here.
  10. I am having trouble remembering that one. The one I remember was the Observer/Charlotte.com
  11. I don’t know that he would have to be that mean about it. It would just be the different direction. We have a wide gap between his asking price and our bottom line top offer, so it’s best to let him try the market.
  12. Lol does that mean I am a Bryce supporter? I would probably bet the difference between us is I think it would kill it, but am open to the possibility he could surprise me. Whereas I think the supporters feel like it is a given that he would no longer be held back and would finally be able to show his stuff. or something along those lines. PS I am not thinking that will really happen though. The playbook being thrown wide open.
  13. An opened up playbook would either kill that extension or justify it. Let’s do it.
  14. I refuse to pass any kind of judgement off of week 1 game outcomes. Now with only 3 preseason games, I count 1 like the 4th preseason week, and week two like it is still old week one. So now it’s two weeks that I won’t judge. Flexible on that if I get a couple of years of feedback that challenges my assessment. What I think I know is I think the quality of play has sucked early the last few years.
  15. I could care less about a beard or no beard on a player. I hate shaving, so have one. As far as a football player, I think it would be better with those chin straps in July and August than freshly shaved skin. Especially for AA guys who have problems at times with ingrown hair. It will likely switch up his appeal to a different pool of women. There are many who are more attracted to a beard, and vice versa. So that could be fun for him.
  16. That was done for me when I realized calling players trash was acceptable.
  17. I’d go out on one leg for twenty million. There isn’t much I wouldn’t do.
  18. They are over exposing it with the Thursdays.
  19. Week one is a big crapshoot. I don’t care who we play, either side can win and will prove nothing.
  20. Yeah. I didn’t mention him because his money isn’t outrageous. He is good value compared to Hunt. Trim Hunts money and maybe even Moton’s money, owe have an affordable OL. 2027 ….. Left to right rookie deal at LT l 50 mil at G 5th round rookie deal at C. Then see about that right side. Might be able to draft a big old tackle to play LG. Maybe cheaper post injury Icky fits. That makes Moton the only 20 million dollar dude. Whatever you end up doing there.
  21. That is a big reason why getting LT covered this year was such a big deal. We need to be free to use that 1st next year on whatever, not be stuck need8ng a T And a QB.
  22. Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with. How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens. I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field. Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
  23. Lori darlin’. Let’s cut the cards…. To me, Lonesome Dove was the best television ever.
