  1. That is true. Not directed at you specifically but people, would do well to remember that that is true for the entire 1st team offense.
  2. They obviously plan on him taking the main role, moving forward into this new offense. At the very least, get him some reps in a real game so he knows what that is. Health allowing.
  3. We don’t know anything really, though I will grant the assumption we wouldn’t have made the playoffs. Do you think they would have felt they had to change the offense three times for him? I will grant myself the assumption of no, and that we would have been much better off.
  4. I didn’t see people hanging in all over him, a well placed ball would have gotten a completion on several plays - assuming he catches it.
  5. If his knee is healthy it is healthy. When it is is healed it is healed. Infuriating as it may be for him to get a new injury or the repair not hold up, you would at least know that you couldn’t count on the player before spending an offseason believing he was good to go.. it does happen to players through no one’s fault. Bodies are unique.
  6. I take the view that he needs to get back out there and get some action and build some confidence in his repaired knee. Not saying to rush anything, but there is stuff that can be accomplished this year that will set him up for 2025. Plus we need to see him before next year to see what we really have. Will he be healthy? There is a chance no, I guess. You won’t be 100% sure until you see him going good and hard.
  7. Yeah. No reason to complain but it wasn’t the toughest test. It was against 2nd string the plays were likely well considered Taking an optimistic view I would think they have some advantage early with teams not having much to scheme against. They didn’t show a lot Saturday. When the teams know what they are dealing with it’ll get tougher for the offense probably.
  8. I should take that back anyway, because it ain’t a steak in the first place, bad analogy. I am just not a fan of cutting the field down. I hope we don’t see that as our bread and butter plan.
  9. Zavala is what is he is. How he got from there to here, in one offseason? Cue the theremin player.
  10. I am not complaining about Morgan. I like him so far. I don’t mind waiting for a player to develop Into a starter. This is a year to do that we aren’t winning.
  11. If that guy would have just bonded his caps I would have listened.
  12. I am going to guess that the QB feels like AT is his security blanket. So he stays around. I’d do it according the other factors… let him go chase a ring as a backup…. something like that.
  13. Since 2021 we have had 12 picks 3rd round and higher. We have take 3 players for the defense and 9 for the offense and that does not count the picks we gave away for the QB. Which were substantial. We are probably 20% invested in defense with our top good picks in the last 4 years plus traded Burns to get one of those, that was used for offense. The fact is we have spent two third rounders and one 1st on the defense in 4 years. All other defensive investments were 4th round and later.
  14. I mean, don’t look at the value of the picks and assets spent vs a single 5th round pick.
  15. I was avoiding that but I’ll say he gets that ball out when the pressure is coming. He is quick with it in general.
  16. ‘03 We didn’t know what was in front of us and got excited about Young.
  17. I missed the rookie part. Sorry.
  18. I just finished watching that game, because I touted Rattler and wanted to keep up with him. And there was my probable pick at QB last year in Levis, the price by comparison to what they did was just pennie’s on the for him. And up my alley value wise. Rattler suffered several drops, had a completion wiped by a defensive penalty, and under threw a couple of deep balls. He dealt with pressure well, protected the ball, was good. I mean it was against backups. So… Levis looked good too I thought. But it also, was against Saints defenders trying to make the roster mostly. I can say that about Bryce too. Not playing against quality D.
  19. 150 mil on two players ought to do that. Did for me. I won’t trust Zavala until game planning is implemented and stunts are worked by 1st string opposition. He fairly earned his way in the doghouse last year he can earn his way out this year. Maybe. About the same with Icky it’s not quite as extreme. We have seen him do better.
  20. Most of those were linked with a qb that could make them one. AT was sort of that guy last year for us. Would guess his numbers go down a good amount this year. I made a Walter Young reference the other day haha and looked him up, he was pick number 226. Looked real good in camp and preseason as I recall.
  21. Canales has a ton on his plate and is new at this. His OC is new too. Could I consider that his priority is acclimating the QB with the new number one, installing the offense, over holding it up for a young guy that they liked enough to move up for, but is raw and also has some hamstring issues? Not that worried about it to be honest. 2024, send him on some Russell Wilson jump ball routes and design some things for him and see how it goes.. develop him this year and all offseason, then see.
  22. Kind of like if your pocket is full, or empty, that greatly affects your attitude. Years of empty promises and crap football operations on and off the field do manifest in our psyche. If people were just all positive and happy it would be bewildering to me and I would think they either did not have much upstairs, or just weren’t using what they had. Team proves they have figured things out at least somewhat, people get happier and less negative. Me personally, I am a perfectionist by nature and a fixer (apparently inherent in my maleness). I see things that aren’t right. I want to fix them. Once fixed, I look for the next problem, and try to fix that. So if they get Bryce fixed, the OL fixed, I’ll probably still be looking for something that needs fixing. Or just improved. Doesn’t mean I hate a player or the team or any of that. If I think they need fixing, or cannot be fixed in a reasonable time frame, it is just that.
  23. I think Zavala went to the crossroads at midnight and made himself a deal because no one looks as bad as he did last year and goes straight to looking like he could be a player. The Bryce part, if his footwork holds up under duress and doesn’t revert to that mess that goes back pre draft, maybe he can stick. I do not like sacrificing half the field though, with a rollout offense.
