  1. Roster bonus goes to the new team in the new year, signing bonus comes due on checkout so to speak. They pro rate that over the length of the deal. He got most of his money in signing bonus. If I'm right
  2. I can only see one way out (Cue Gregg Allman) and that's if we have a player on the last year of the contract that makes enough to offset Bryce's cap penalty. A player who is in the last year of his deal doesn't have future this or pro rated that. Clean. So, that player and Bryce for a really nice draft pick that we don't have to pay this year. Or i guess you could trade them to different teams, same effect. Or stand pat, tough poo Bryce. Any better ideas? If you can find any kind of way without further sticking it to us, be my guest. And PS that player is probably Diontae or Thielen, or Shaq, or? Who else is on the last year that's getting paid?
  3. Some great baseball managers barely made it out of the minors and some didn't. I bet there are a ton of NFL success stories that are similar.. humble beginings and all that. And some great players can't teach. Tennis, football, music, whatever. I like his stuff but did get irritated with the Bryce excuses especially because the decent plays were hammered home and the opportunities that were missed were downplayed. But I'm biased, I didn't want to deal with Bryce Young and his uphill battle.
  4. [edited this in: To me the competition should have ramped up this year. Instead of pretending he was a rookie and giving him a do over.] Just find another one. Let's say he does 'okay'. You don't really know but you are thinking maybe. Like the Buffalo preseason series got people. You have one more year of cheap. Thats it. Is anyone expecting to give him that second contract money? I think you take that off the table barring some divine intervention on his behalf this year. Make it not an option.
  5. He was like royalty that is too young to rule. Or something. I mean they gave him all this power and cred and he doesn't know what to do with it. And also, go Coker. Hope he is able t do something with it.
  6. I'm happy we got a guy who likely isn't a yes man straight down the list. And also think hitting on his hire would be better than a single QB short of HOF types. You get a culture and he can still find a QB. Theee coach. I want someone who won't just go yes Mr Tepper, and when he says no, has it right. Like this, like Andy, like his plays look good.... Home run on this move. Hit a couple more. Get that established and Tepper will be a minimal problem.
  7. He could fit in a one seater twice. I looked at a film of him standing behind the OL today and he was so narrow he looked like half of what the OL guys were. It isn't even just the height and the slight he is also narrow as hell. Ir is just fuging insane, but I always said that.
  8. They shouldn't do that if he is in for injury to the starter lol. Being booed off the field for Jack Plummer, priceless.
  9. Yeah I don't think we'll be seeing any of Young until playoff elimination or injury opens up the spot for the little scrub. edit: so it shouldn't be a hardship on us. Probably on him but he is paid very well to suffer in good health
  10. The guy isn't really it for me, but sure. Just trying to help.
  11. I thought he was pretty fair. He gave praise. Several times he commended how quick Dalton got the ball out and at another point towards the end basically said it was refreshing to see that kind of quarterbacking. I think. I missed a couple of those almost ints, as far as how close they were. Also some misses and how close they were, Diontae open in the EZ on the first drive I think but Andy missed him. And the same play almost later, another miss.
  12. I love it. Watch the line. You can see all kinds of poo and he ff and rw and cues up it up. You don't even have to. He showed at one point the line handling a stunt. (also seeing the pulling in pass pro that I don't catch watch a broadcast). He showed my boy Legette unnecessarily leaving his feet to catch the 2 point attempt that he couldn't get them back down in bounds. He didn't say it that way but he pointed it out. Everything is so much clearer on these analysis videos, than I can see rewatching a broadcast. edit: also, I hate to say it but you were such a Bryce fan you probably hated it because that WAS fuging boring. He made the typical excuses but you could see what was happening.
  13. Some people didn't just give their opinion, they lobbied for him. That's the ones that are dragging their feet. But he didn't even make one for the Chargers game. Because what was he going say positive? That Bryce was unharmed by his teammates after the game?
  14. Guess what dog, Sunday was about you too.
  15. In order of expectation degradation: Grain of Salt Temper Tepper
  16. I put the rest of it in my post in case people want to just take a look.
  17. There are a lot of changes lately. I'd suggest reading this, for everyone. https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/nfl-continues-to-liberalize-ir-rules-01j0vxd44azh If I am right, and just skimmed it, it keeps 2 extra players per team off the streets by not havng to put them on the 53 before IRing them. There are big changes from what they were not that long ago. this may help The NFL also informed the NFLPA it has finalized rules for designating players for return from injured reserve in 2024 — a maximum of eight total designations during the regular season or 10 including playoffs. From last week’s memo: pic.twitter.com/P8BV1sTZgs — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) June 20, 2024 fug it here is the meat of it If a playoff team has not used up its eight designations in the regular season, it will carry the remaining slots into the postseason so that its total allocation for the season is 10. Players can also be designated to return from the injured reserve list two times, including the postseason. Placing anyone on the list for a third time would mean their season would be over. Previously, a proposal to change the IR rules from Detroit was also implemented for the 2024 season. For the first time teams will be allowed to place two players on IR at the initial cutdown to 53 and still bring them back at some point in the regular season. Previously, a player had to be placed on the initial 53 to be eligible for activation from IR. Players on IR are required to miss four games (not four weeks) before returning from the list.
  18. There must be a Jackson 5 Tribute out there somewhere he can be Tito or Marlon. I can see him now... ABC, One Bad Apple Don't ...go Bryce. Really, Go.
  19. I'll buy that for the pass pro. And it was real last year, agreed. He needed help.
  20. I think we have a head coach that knows how to use him, but sure send down to that weird dude in MIami if he'll have him. I'd like to see that.
  21. No more begrudging. I can always use reluctant. I didn't accept Young begrudgingly on not begrudgingly or really wouldn't off his play, for anything short of a gun to my head.
  22. Countless, okay. But yes they do. Carry on I won't interrupt you again.
  23. I don't think he even did one on Bryce for week 2.
  24. For different reasons it can be. At the same time, NFL talent is pretty recognizable in some and that tends to hold true.
  25. That is somehow connected to "if your enemy is making a mistake, don't stop him".
