I'm purely guessing but I never could see Reich being in on Bryce as his guy, and the train went off the tracks right there, they were divided.

Well I posted in a different thread that I watched the Buffalo preseason drive and Young stuck with the rehabbed drop back and did not revert to the old way. However many throws he made, it was all with the standard drop back we see everyone do. So I went and looked at the Saints game. The last pass play of the 1st quarter, was a nice completion for a first down BUT he reverted. It was over as far the ‘proper’ technique and back to his meandering slow tippy to stuff. Even on the jump throw to Mingo earlier which was picked on in the QB school video, he did the new improved retreat and that was from under center btw. Hadn’t noticed that until that play. It went how you’d expect. At first he came out doing the new but when the chips were down he went back to what was easiest for him. Just FYI because I was curious about it and wanted to know exactly what the scoop is. It is a definite thing to key in on this next game.

Over a guy that play QB in the league, and coached a bunch too. Who would you (or any of us) think would know better? In what world is it not the guy that did it and knows firsthand what it takes? It’s Tepper’s poo judgement here. That is why he is backing away, he knows he fuged up. But can he stick to it….

And that is why people wanted to see Bryce suck. Not because they hate him personally. Because it looks like mediocre is his ceiling and we would likely be paying even more than Tua’s deal by the time it comes due… 70 mil per year or something for a mediocre QB? Do not sign me up.

What would anyone rightly think of the reason the offense got changed 3 times? What would be the best guess? I know what mine is and even before knowing that stuff I could tell that Reich didn’t know what to do except to hide him. Which he did. That is why his offense looked so bad. And he played the position, he knew what he was seeing.

I don’t know where to put this but I just rewatched that Buffalo series. As I suspected, there was zero meandering shoulders square to the LOS type of bullshit. Zero. I may have detected a ‘want to’ on one play but it was real subtle and didn’t go there. I was looking for it too. That was the focus. Compare that with Sunday, he just ditched all the teaching to do it like he feels it. It is a fuging problem for him.

Keep people laughing. If they do allow the rookie deals to play out and go back to the draft, or other teams backups, things will settle. It is ridiculous for a team to pay the 20th best QB like the 10th or 5th best guy. Shouldn’t be linked to some standard salary perception. And Miami is crazy to pay him that.

Yeah I understood that, which is why I explained what I was thinking. I’ll look at those specifics next week. It was more about having things enough in place to start really evaluating. If Bryce wouldn’t have so bad, I wouldn’t have been upset over a loss or if the team didn’t look great. Because I expected that.

It is nothing to with who we play. It is the new scheduling combined with traditional value system for week 1. Because of the change to 3 preseason games the old week 1 is now week 2. I decided to still value it as week 1 because it is the 5th week of games still. Old preseason 4 is no man’s land between preseason and the regular. Some people won’t like that but the teams seriously, can’t get straight in 3 weeks, I don’t think. Especially with an entirely new offensive staff and system. I’ll rethink that when we start doing well in week one.

Bet JR wouldn’t have hired Rhule though.

Agreed on a real QB, still need a couple of weeks to get straight. Everything is new on offense. I was always pointing to week three this year but got so blindsided last week it upset my schedule. I am trying to chill and reset to that. But Sunday has become very big now.

I just had the memory of JR dabbing in the locker room with Cam. and the team. It is a good one.

Well, I just went and looked back at last year from week 9 or the 9th game since we no longer have a halfway point. So after he gets 8 games as a rook here are the passing numbers that count. (I just realized it was 7 not 8 due to Dalton wk3) Counting Sunday, I think it comes to 5 TDS 7 Ints wow talk about production. I guess you could add his only rushing TD if you need to. 10 games. I have to say, it is hard to break the habit of going back and forth with these arguments. Most people agree now but it's been ingrained gotta adjust to the new normal. Probably change next week. I haven't called him any names since probably Monday.
