  1. How many screen names later do you think will that be?
  2. It'll be a retractable roof an the tax payers will have to foot most of the bill. A retractable roof is the best of both worlds and gives a stadium a lot more versatility to host other types of events. Why pay for it yourself when you can extort money from the city?
  3. ESPN will have to greatly improve their streaming services. They're hands down the worst out there. I end up watching a lot of their stuff on pirated streams simply because the pirated streams are more reliable and higher quality that the actual ESPN streams. That's hilariously pathetic.
  4. Agreed. As various streaming options become available at a fraction of the price of traditional cable/satellite ultimately I think they'll be forced to go more and more that direction. Your monthly bill is subsidizing a ton of channels you literally never watch. The same is true for streaming services, but the cost is much lower. I haven't had cable or satellite in years now. I have Netflix and Amazon Prime but honestly, I had Amazon Prime for years before I utilized their streaming services so as far as television I basically consider it free. It's 2021 and the internet is still undefeated. If you wanna watch sports online, you can. Sadly enough, ESPN (the self proclaimed world wide leader in sports) has the WORST streaming services imaginable. Hell, I end up watching a lot of the their stuff elsewhere simply because the pirate streams actually work better than theirs. That's pathetic.
  5. For a team ready to compete for a SB right now, that's fine.
  6. That property ended up closing... for $150k more than we paid. Really glad we got our deal done without this property hitting the market. The sellers got what they wanted so they can't be too upset about it, but I'm sure they realize in hindsight that they would've gotten well over ask the day it listed had they gone forward with the listing.
  7. I mean, familiar faces Kyle Allen and Taylor Heinicke are probably fighting for one job for Rivera in Washington. Either are better options than we currently have on the roster.
  8. I think there's a good chance our #2 QB this season isn't on the roster right now.
  9. In his prime he was considered one of if not the best DT in the league. His prime was just short lived.
  10. I bet Josh Norman's RAS was absolutely abysmal. Pretty much the only boxes he would've checked are height/weight.
  11. Honestly, I think he has a higher ceiling than Jenkins. I could see him being a Suh type, hopefully minus the batshit craziness.
  12. So anyway, about that Derrick Brown guy... Yeah, I think he's basically gonna be prime Kris Jenkins version 2.0 for us. Which is fuging awesome.
  13. Yeah, you're still going down the same rabbit hole you started down after misunderstanding my initial point. But hey man, I hope you have a good weekend. Taking a look at your posts today you're clearly not having a good day. Sincerely.
  14. So you're still down the semantics road of what qualifies as an "all-time great" while not moving the goal posts? Okay, cool.
  15. Good grief, man. I don't know if you're extra salty today or if you're just not that bright but while you're accusing others of moving goal posts, you're the one with a goal post slung over your shoulder there with your qualifications of "all-time great". Gross is not an NFL all-time great. He IS a Panthers all-time great. Those two are not one in the same. Gross is so very fondly remembered by Panthers fans in large part due to the fact that for most of our history outside of the Gross era we have struggled (sometimes mightily) at LT. Which was my entire fuging point when responding to someone inquiring why some people remember a guy like Gamble so fondly then complain about a guy like Brown being "disappointing" as a rookie. Team history at positions play a big role in how a fanbase views players. Then you got butthurt because you misunderstood what I was trying to say and after clarification you decided to try to go down a semantics rabbit hole while accusing me of being the one "moving the goal posts".
  16. I have to think this is coming from the Robby camp. From the Panthers' perspective, we're trying to resurrect the career of a QB. Robby is still a fantastic value at his cap number. Marshall was drafted to be his replacement, but he's still a rookie and has a not insignificant injury history. I just don't see any reason why the Panthers would be actively trying to part ways with him by their own choosing. Hell, Marshall may have been drafted because this had already been going on behind the scenes and they knew Robby wouldn't be here long term due to what he was asking for.
  17. If we don't get this Robby Anderson situation straightened out, PFF might fall backasswards onto getting something roughly correct.
  18. Yeah, definitely not onboard with that. I would've greatly prefered a Montana/Young or Favre/Rodgers type situation. Those are just very rare. Most teams go through a period of flailing after having a high level franchise QB. That's just the way these things usually go.
  19. Wow. This is officially THE most ironic post in the history of the internet. The guy who literally only posts to poo on another poster who is willing to actually offer an opinion typed this and hit "Submit Reply". Incredible lack of self awareness.
  20. Saying Gross isn't an all-time great along the lines of a Jonathan Ogden isn't disrespect. It's reality. He's the Panthers' all-time great. That doesn't make him an NFL all-time great. My point was our views of certain players as a fanbase are heavily influenced by our history as a franchise at that particular position. This isn't difficult to comprehend.
  21. What I said went over your head. Calm down and re-read.
  22. Gross was very good and more importantly he was consistently good for a long time, but he's not the all time great LT that we remember him to be he just is in comparison to everyoje else we've fielded.
  23. Team positional history. Historically, we're very strong along the DL. Weak in the secondary. That's why good players like Gamble and Minter are so fondly remembered. You also remembering all the other trash that played those positions for us. Same with Gross at LT. Yeah, Gross was good but the way us Panthers fans recall him you'd think he was Jonathan Ogden. It's just because we've historically been soooo bad at the position. Gross is our oasis in the desert at LT.
  24. Gotta understand the role of the position and also his stage of development. He was absolutely pro ready in terms of the run game and being physically ready to compete. Everyone knew his pass rush skills needed refinement and since sacks are about the only DL stat the average fan pays attention to, if a DL isn't getting sacks them he's a "disappointment". He's not an Aaron Donald type. Anyone expecting that is going to continue to be disappointed. If all goes well, Brown is going to be Kris Jenkins without the weight issues - a.k.a. arguably the best all-around DT in the league.
