  1. Barf. Taylor Swift could potentially come to town to watch a football game. What a historic day! That might be the most insulting thing I've ever heard said about Charlotte. It's not like it's some backwater small town. If Taylor Swift came here to catch a HS game that would be pretty damn historic. Coming to an NFL City to see an NFL game? Historic? LOL
  2. It's why I just chuckle when people act like we shouldn't draft a QB. Are we ready to compete for SBs if we land a Stroud or Jayden Daniels? No. Definitely not. But the benefit of of building this offensive roster up for Bryce is that we're ready to plug in a good young QB. Yeah, it'll likely look like the early years of Cam's career where the offense was good and the D would usually find a way to give up more points than we could score but we could all see the potential we had moving forward. I'm ready to have a future we can look forward to again. Please.
  3. I honestly view OL more as a unit than as individuals. Overall the unit is pretty strong. Definitely our overall strongest unit on the roster. Meanwhile the D is a wreck and we need a QB.
  4. Yeah, a versatile backup who can plug in pretty much anywhere across the OL is very nice to have. Virtually a sixth starter. Anyone goes down and he's the first off the bench. Maybe not during the game, but if a starter is going to be out for a game or two or more and there's time to work him into the lineup it's going to BC in that spot. It's just that for the first time in seemingly forever we have a guy who we would prefer in a reserve role who other teams very well may see as a starter and pay him as such.
  5. Not great. Tough to recruit when the kids you're recruiting have to know that the likelihood of you being their coach throughout their college career is slim to none.
  6. Reports coming out that Mack Brown intends on returning next year. Carolina has to just pay them man his contract and tell him he's retired. The program is being held hostage currently. I don't want this to turn political but it's the best comparison I can make. It feels like Joe Biden where the pitch was to bring in this old man to right the ship and return to normalcy but then once in the old man doesn't want to give it up.
  7. I think Whitworth out there sporting a full on gray beard has skewed a lot of perceptions. I know I was surprised when I looked into those age numbers
  8. There's only two OL currently on NFL rosters over the age of 34. Trent Williams is the oldest at 36. The Trent Williams and Andrew Whitworths of the league are still very much the exception and not the rule. Basically if you're not potential HOF caliber you're probably not going to remain effective well into your 30s, you're just not going to have the luxury of being able to play through losing a step or two. Moton is good but he's not at that level. I'd bet on a pretty sharp fall off in the next 2-3 seasons.
  9. Could. But anytime someone is on the wrong side of 30 I think Father Time has to be in the back of your mind. Sure, some guys remain effective well into their 30s but most don't.
  10. This season is going nowhere. Put Icky at LT and let him keep developing. Put Christensen at C and see if we have the starting OL figured out for the mid-term. I would say long-term but Moton is already 30.
  11. This is how bad it is as a Panthers fan. We're reduced to debating hypothetical wild animal fights rather than talk about the ass kicking we have coming on Sunday. LOL
  12. I mean, if you die immediately but the animal you bit dies later I'd still say you lost.
  13. They probably didn't do that. They were psychos but they generally tried to setup fairly even fights. If one animal was significantly bigger there would be multiple of the smaller. So you'd have say three panthers vs. a bear. Then boys were wild. LOL
  14. You realize lions don't live in the jungle, right? LOL I'm telling you, the Romans actually did this crazy poo and the lions died. The bears almost always won despite the foe.
  15. The Romans being the psychos that they were of course tested these theories out. Basically bears killed everything.
  16. Pound for pound badass but it's gonna die against a bear, tiger, lion, etc.
  17. They have weight classes in the fight game for a reason.
  18. I don't know about y'all but I ain't fuging with no Vikings and Patriots and Cowboys are gonna have guns, that's no picnic either. And a mythical giant titan? Yeah, those are my top four for sure if we're fighting this thing out.
  19. Exactly. The only time I put it on the player is if he seems to be mailing it in after getting paid. We paid Ian Thomas knowing who he was. He's the type of guy who should be bouncing around the league trying to make rosters and we paid him like the morons that we are. That's not his fault.
  20. Honestly, the Browns are the only ones I think who are for sure and it's only because the Deshaun trade plus that contract was even worse than the Bruce trade - because of the contract.
  21. This game just isn't good. The Cowboys are trash and the Texans seems like they're fuging around at practice and are gonna have to run the stadium stairs for it tomorrow.
  22. Yeah, the Cowboys are gonna get fuging killed tonight. LOL
