  1. It is? We gave up 4000+ yards and 35 TDs in the air. LOL
  2. I don't want Shemar Stewart because his measurables scream potential #1 overall draft pick while his production screams UDFA. He's honestly a guy who should be mid-late round boom/bust pure athletic potential type of pick, not a potential top 10 pick. I'd like Jalen Walker because I just think he's a football player. Turn on a UGA game and see which guy just jumps off the screen on defense. It's him. Would not be mad about T-Mac or Warren.
  3. Yeah, I can see him potentially being really good but I think he's more likely to be an underwhelming disappointment. Maybe not an outright bust but just meh. Like if we took this guy on the third round, yay. But top 10? Damn...
  4. BINGO Stewart and his "UDFA just hoping he can land a camp invite" production being talked about as a potential top 10 pick is fuging wild. I know this draft is being perceived as light on top shelf talent but c'mon...
  5. I mean, the reality is that the Panthers have basically only drafted three good WRs - Moose, Smitty, and DJ Moore. KB was on the way but that double whammy of tearing his ACL and loosing his mom derailed him. But then again, we've only drafted three 1st round WRs and never drafted a WR higher than #24.
  6. Truth. I'd love to have one but I also understand that great receivers seem to be a lot more valuable in fantasy football than in reality.
  7. I mean, we did just have the worst scoring defense in NFL history. If there was a Jamarr Chase or Justin Jefferson type prospect I'd be pounding the table for him. I like T-Mac and wouldn't be mad about drafting him but I'm not going to pretend that we don't have at least equal needs on the defensive side of the ball.
  8. I saw that and was like "who dafuq is Trey McBride?" 6 career TDs??? Highest paid TE ever??? LOLOLOL
  9. The Pats' turned a 6th round pick into a 5th and a 7th. I guess that's a winning move.
  10. I don't think we're going to get that type of offer. I'd also be leery of moving THAT far back. If we're moving back I'd still want to stay in the top 15 or so. We earned the #8 pick because we were trash. A few meaningless late season wins aside we honestly should've been drafting significantly higher where we would have significantly better options hence why I didn't want those wins.
  11. He's the biggest wild card in the draft by far. I suspect evaluations swing wildly because his physical talent is pretty marginal and you have to watch him play on the college field and ask yourself "does this translate to the NFL?" If I'm being honest, I don't see it. I see the classic "really good college player who doesn't translate to the NFL". I basically see a poor man's Johnny Manziel. He is better than Manziel was when he's on schedule but just like Manziel a lot of his game relied on running around, buying time, and relying on his all-world talent at WR to bail him out and does that translate to the NFL with his physical skill set? I don't think it does. Everyone is looking for the next Mahomes but so far Mahomes is pretty much a unicorn on making that approach work in the NFL. I guess I'll give you Russell Wilson in his prime too but those guys both have (had) elite arm talent that Sanders simply doesn't have. Then you have the daddy factor massive wild card. Deion definitely has all the potential to turn into the NFL version of Lavar Ball and that has to be factored in, so you better LOVE the prospect and I'm just not seeing it.
  12. I would imagine that an organization like the Steelers would want to stay far away from a circus like Sanders would likely bring to town. I could see them taking a shot on Jaxson Dart though.
  13. The Pats' OL was dreadful last year and they spent heavily on D in free agency. They really should take the #1 OT at #4.
  14. Wouldn't surprise me. Turn on a UGA game and just see who jumps off the screen on defense.
  15. I voted Jalen Walker because I think the trade back options won't be very appealing. I don't want to move back just for the sake of it if there isn't good return.
  16. Yeah, good teams occasionally land studs in the 6th round. Most are duds though that wash out of the league. It is what it is. That's expected in the 6th round. Our problem is that's the story of our 2nd round draft history.
  17. Yep. Everyone keeps talking about how we need more speed at receiver but what we actually need are receivers at receiver. We've drafted a bunch of high caliber athletes planning on making receivers out of them but we lack polished receivers outside of Thielen.
  18. What position do the Panthers historically not suck at drafting in the 2nd round? Our 2nd round draft history looks like good teams' 6th round draft history.
  19. I like Warren but I honestly think he's a little overrated. Brock Bowers at UGA looked like a man among boys in college. Like Gronk. Running past, through, over everybody while Moss'ing dudes. Warren isn't that. He's catching a bunch of balls while blanketed. I don't see him beating a lot of tight man coverage. Maybe it won't matter. Jason Witten is an all-time great TE and did that his entire NFL career. He didn't wow with anything, he just found ways to catch balls and move the chains over and over again for years by doing everything textbook.
  20. I wouldn't hate T-Mac or Warren at #8. Not necessarily my preference but I wouldn't hate it. #57? Maybe Higgins? Jalen Royals? 3rd round? Maybe Tai Felton? Jalin Noel? I think CSU's Tory Horton is being slept on big time. He put up big time numbers the previous two years but missed most of this season with an injury. Out of sight out of mind. He ran a 4.41 40 with a 37.5" vertical at the Combine at 6' 2.5" 196.
  21. I'd probably take Jalon Walker. I'm going to try him as an edge with a backup plan of making him an off the ball LB. I'm not certain which role he'll ultimately play but I do think he's gonna be a player. I like T-Mac but I think he probably projects as "good" more than great. I like Warren a lot but I don't think he's Brock. I like Starks but I'm not sold on him being an elite safety. I wouldn't be mad about picking any of the three though. The guy I don't want is Shemar Stewart but if we draft him I'll just hope I'm wrong and he proves to be great.
  22. And I'd do it all day long unless someone very unexpected was there. Graham is about the only outlier potential that would have me considering making the pick vs. taking 12 and 44.
  23. Same thing was said about Micah Parsons. We'll see.
  24. We made a big deal about heavily involving Evero in last year's defensive roster building process and the end result was the worst defense in NFL history. I'd heavily involve him in the process again this year and be sure to NOT do what he wants to do. LOL
