The Patriots drafted a QB with all the physical tools and brought in a solid vet to both mentor and so that the rookie wouldn't have to be forced into playing before he's ready. We nailed the second step but unfortunately horribly botched step one.

I was not a fan of the pick but I hope this country ass kid kills it. He's gonna be a sound clip gold mine.

The receivers have to be thrilled. We know how frustrating it is being a fan watching a QB who can't effectively throw the ball more than about 5-10 yards but it's gotta be a whole next level of frustration to be a receiver out there on the field dealing with it.

Why would he change anything? Everything has been going so great!

He's a lot better than Bryce. That's what I know for sure.

Yeah, I believe in Baker. I think he's gonna be fine. I don't think he's ever going to be a elite but he's a solid middle of the road starter. Darnold is Darnold. He looks good for a few games but as soon as opposing DCs gets a few games of film on him in a particular offensive system it's a wrap. The guy just be situationally predictable as fug because once they get him dialed it's just game over. He turns into typical Darnold.

Baker is undersized but he's "normal undersized" and he has a legit NFL arm. Bryce is historically small and has one of the weakest arms on an NFL roster. Bryce Young is cooked.

I mean, I'd try. Not sure if I'd go full Eli to do it but I'd definitely have my agent dropping hints to the Panthers' front office that all else being equal I'd prefer to be somewhere else.

Mack Brown says both QBs will play this Saturday which means that whoever starts will have to literally snap his leg in half for the other to play based on the Minnesota game when he also said both QBs would play.

It's possible. But everyone seems to suddenly get a lot better when they get away from here.

I do like some of their stuff but it's hard for me to look past that they're a very transparently utter ripoff of The Smashing Pumpkins.

I don't wish Tepper's Panthers on anyone I'm a fan of. Going from Ron "we don't need no sticking pass protection" Rivera with Eric "what's a running game?" Bieniemy at OC last year to Tepper's Panthers this year? I mean... YIKES

Bryce and Plummer basically look indistinguishable on the field. Sadly one was the #1 overall pick via crippling trade and the other is the UDFA he should've been.

Anyone who doesn't realize that Plummer is terrible after the preseason I don't know what to tell them

The amount of coddling we did for Bryce is just wild.

If they are leaning toward extending Geno and they could improve on their 5th round investment I could see it. Then again, they actually look pretty decent. They may deem a viable backup QB more valuable than turning a 5th into say a 4th, even a 3rd.

It's amazing that anyone pays any attention to him anymore. His whole shtick is acting like his opinions are stone cold fact and yet he's been wrong over and over again. Which to be fair, anyone who expressed opinions on draft prospects has been. It happens. But his whole shtick of acting like he's infallible and his opinions can only be failed by others not just be flat out erong is just supremely off-putting.

He's a guy who lacks the physical tools and after his experience last year I think he knows it. I think he's basically just mailed it in at this point and is cashing checks for as long as he can. That's why I was honestly surprised about the rumor that he's pissed about the benching. I honestly expected him to be relieved by it.
