BREAKING: Giants looking to trade for Brian Burns
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, it would be a dream scenario. At this point I'm practically begging for this franchise to do something that would force me to cut ties. I wish they'd hired Sean Payton.- 543 replies

I'm just glad that it looks like we're definitely gonna trade him versus paying him.- 543 replies

I want a 1st. They're not giving us #6 so give me next year's 1st and toss in a mid-rounder this year.- 543 replies

It's not Bryce Young's fault. It's PUR fault for drafting him. Every red flag I spelled out pre-draft came true, I just way underestimated just how bad the red flags were.
-
Tough decisions had to be made after giving $100M to a guard because we mortgaged the franchise on a 5'8" QB.

Oh well. That sucks. I could see if it was to a quality organization but going to Washington means they just offered more $$$.
-
You won't be happy with what we'd have to part with. He's not a free agent. He's tagged. It would be a trade. They don't wanna pay Burns. They're gonna want draft capital. A LOT of it. We'd have no 1st rounder back to back years.
-
In a vacuum, sure. But now watch Bryce. Watch his footwork. Watch him throw. I'd feel way better moving forward if Bryce looked like a guy who was doing all he could in a bad situation but unfortunately he was very much a part of the bad situation.

Panthers sign Dolphins RG Robert Hunt
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This dude can play. -
We're finally getting that tank year many of us have been calling for for years. Of course we're doing it in a projected down QB year.
-
This is a head scratcher. The Eagles have proven they don't need to spend big money at RB to get big time production. With that said, if Barkley stays healthy he's about to put up CMC numbers.
-
That's largely his rep among fellow players that he cares more about a pretty stat line to protect his check than he does trying to help his team win.
-
Cousins is good for two things: putting up decent stats and making a lot of money. Winning? Not so much.
-
Tough for me to call someone who has made that much money a "failure". I'm sure he'll manage.
-
Poor guy has made tens of millions of dollars to be terrible. We should all be so fortunate.
-
The Bears just made the same mistake we did a year ago. https://www.nfl.com/news/bears-rb-d-andre-swift-agree-to-terms-on-three-year-24-million-deal It's not the RB, it's the system.
-
I saw an article recently that said if Cousins walks to expect them to sign Sam Darnold to start. That was a quality chuckle.
-
If he can't take the pressure of a 2nd or 3rd rounder pushing him he ain't it anyway. It's not like Bama wasn't recruiting the best QBs they could get to sign every year.

Spoon was a good player but a BIG step down from those other guys

What would go in a package for Burns/Higgins swap?
LinvilleGorge replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nobody is trading for Burns without a long-term contract agreed on. -

I think it would be straight up. But I also don't think the Bengals want to pay Burns. Moving Higgins would be about not spending that huge chunk of cap, not just spending it on a different guy. -
I'd put Luvu roughly on par with a guys like Witherspoon and Anderson.
-
Probably top 10 WR money.
