The biggest thing that's hurt the Huddle is the same thing that's hurt Panthers fandom in general. We have sucked for years now. That's rough on a fanbase. The heyday of Internet forums is largely over. That's just the reality. Social media largely replaced forums and then Reddit came along and built a large all encompassing forum that sucked up a lot of the traditional forum users. It is what it is. But there's a pretty solid group of dedicated users here and if the Panthers start winning again it'll grow. A lot of folks who have drifted off will probably come back. But here's the thing, anyone who has stuck around whether you agree with them or not, whether you like them or not they are absolute diehards. You can't truly enjoy the good times if you're not willing to suffer through the bad times.

I find it ironic that you accuse me of "shitting" up the forum while you're the one actively shitting up this thread with a bizarre personal vendetta. LOL There's an ignore feature. Use it. You don't like how this place is ran. Evidently that's all my fault. But you keep coming back to cry about it.

"toxicity" meaning we didn't use mod powers to create a personal echo chamber for them. Sure seems this place is overall considerably less toxic after most of the people whining about people having the audacity to express football opinions on a forum built to discuss football up and left. I hope they're happy at their Discord. They wanted an echo chamber and they made themselves one. It worked out best for everyone.

OFFICIAL Undrafted Free Agent thread
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, I mean taking a $200k cap hit if he doesn't work out isn't the end of the world. It's just a little weird how heavy we are on youth at WR. Thielen is the only guy on the roster with over 1700 receiving yards. That's wild. -

I would expect a couple LBs. Nazir Stackhouse at DT should be a priority. I'd sign Jabbar Muhammad at CB. The dude is a dog. -
I think Coker is already that guy.
-
Surprised to see another receiver added. We already have a ton of developmental youth in that unit.
-
"if possible" being the key. The consensus #1 overall player has a ton of leverage. 5th rounders have none. If they'd had the leverage they would've done the same thing. They didn't. @KaseKlosed
-
Well damn. So much for that.
-
Wouldn't mind a safety double dip at #208 with RJ Mickens. Chase Lundt and Jack Nelson are flexible OT/OGs that I've had my eye on throughout the process too. Cobee Bryant at CB too. Nazir Stackhouse would be an intriguing double dip at DT. Just not much left at LB. I'd rather just wait and see if Power Echols goes undrafted at this point and jump on him as a UDFA.

He really screwed up entering the draft. He has very marginal NFL talent but he's a good college QB. He's the poster child of the type of guy that needs to stay in college collecting NIL money until he runs out of eligibility. Texas was clearly ready to move onto Arch Manning but he would've been one of if not the top QB available in the portal and would've fetched a nice offer.
-
He's a rotational level player at this point. I doubt any team wants to take on the contract. He'll have considerable interest if he's released. The ideal situation would be if he would take a pay cut to stay. Have his agent do some work to gauge his value around the league and come back with the number they'd be happy with to stay that's less than the current figure. If it makes sense keep him, if it doesn't then take the cap savings and free up snaps for the rooks.

Round 5, Pick 2 (#140) - Cam Jackson, DT, Florida
LinvilleGorge replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Deepest DT draft in recent memory. Glad we came out with one and he's a guy we showed considerable interest in leading up to the draft so it doesn't feel like it was a forced move. He's clearly a guy we liked a lot. -
Wow. The Ravens might have just moved on from Justin Tucker.
-
The people in that draft war room did NOT make the call on that pick. LOL https://www.threads.com/@nfldraftdiamonds/post/DI65yPBSFYO/media?xmt=AQGz12e9HRBK8c4Xbu9HGSDN_z6QesW5Nj6l5GBO1FHT9A

That was the last LB I had serious interest in.
-
The other guys at the table are literally about to tell Kiper to just STFU and I'm here for it. LOL Okay, seven picks later ESPN is finally ready to acknowledge that another player is being drafted.
-
Mel Kiper is going full clown show meltdown. LOLOLOL
-
This is exactly the type of distraction teams didn't want to invite for a guy brought in to compete for a backup QB role. They can't figure out why he fell so far without the self awareness to realize that this is exactly why.
-
There's been four guys drafted and ESPN's coverage hasn't even acknowledged their existence while they continually glaze Shedeur Sanders.
-
So ESPN is just gonna talk about Shedeur Sanders for the remainder of the draft? They're not even mentioning these guys currently being drafted. LOL
