  1. What we need to do is figure out our QB rankings while we also sniff around and figure out who the Texans prefer. If their #1 is our #2, front like hell that we're taking their guy and try to get them to swap picks with us. If our #1 is also their #1, just take #1.
  2. Probably a camp arm. I think we'll sign a fairly experienced vet backup but we'll see.
  3. I don't really care. I'm fine either way. But Tepper needs to let this offense and QB experience heavy staff he's hired make this pick. Stay out of it.
  4. Seems like it's gotta be either Stroud or Young. I don't think you risk a trade like this to take a raw talent like Richardson or Levis. I just hope we get this right. I don't care who it is as long as he's a perennial All-Pro.
  5. I think the rumors about him being available for a ham sandwich may be true.
  6. I would've expected Burns. We clearly have moves to make at WR now because trading for #1 to take a QB while giving up your only proven NFL WR makes no sense.
  7. I get the criticism though. Due to the offensive system and the incredible surrounding talent he simply has more opportunities to throw to guys who are just wide ass open. It's why evaluating QBs that play for elite college teams is tough. His team is simply considerably more talented and better coached than the opposing team virtually every week. It's not a criticism of the prospect as much as it's simply an acknowledgement of that particular scouting challenge. Is he still the same guy in a less favorable situation?
  8. Hmmm... https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/gm-report/thomas-brown-describes-offensive-identity-what-he-wants-in-a-qb-more What kind of quarterback he wants "A really good one. There's all different kind of guys that come in all shapes and sizes. But to me, it's an ongoing conversation we've had over the last couple days. It's about who fits into this system, being selfless from a mentality standpoint, but also having a point guard mentality. Being able to distribute the ball to your playmakers. And on third down, red zone, two-minute, go play Superman."
  9. Could have. We could have drafted Justin Fields. We could have drafted Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes. But we didn't.
  10. Caleb Love needs to transfer. I love the kid but he's just not being done any favors by Hubert's no consequences constant green light coaching style. The kid struggles with consistency and decision making and we're just doing absolutely nothing to help him develop in those areas. He needs a coach that will force him to play within himself and plant his ass on the bench when he doesn't.
  11. If I was a betting man I think I'd probably bet on Shaq being cut. His current contract just gives him too much leverage. If I'm the Panthers I'm probably amicably releasing him and allowing him to test the market letting him know we'd love to have him back but nowhere near $25M per year. People think I hate Shaq. I absolutely don't. He's a solid player. But he's a solid player who is carrying a cap hit of an elite player.
  12. Really hoping to see news of a Bozeman re-signing prior to FA.
  13. Yeah, I said it last year during the tourney that this feels like a fluke. We just got red hot. That's why I wasn't really upset when we blew that second half lead in the national championship game. We were playing with house money. It didn't feel like we should've been there. We had been wildly inconsistent all year. I had hoped that it was a sign that this team had turned the corner. Instead what we got was an even MORE inconsistent team this year.
  14. Just an absolute enigma. He's always either the best or the worst player on the court with no gray area in between. He really should transfer and see if he can find consistency elsewhere. The constant green light Hubert gives him isn't helping him.
  15. It just blows my mind how both Dean and Roy thought that guys who had no real head coaching experience should take over at UNC. Head basketball coach at UNC shouldn't be a lifetime achievement award to be given out in thanks by a retiring legends. Dean and Roy were awesome but damn... letting them hand lick their successors has lead to the two roughest patches of UNC basketball in my lifetime and there will still be at least another year left in this current rough patch. I'm not sure if we'll make it to .500 next year.
  16. I'm just saying. There's options out there...
  17. Won't do it. We shouldn't even accept the invitation.
  18. #1 in preseason returning 4 starters from a national runner-up team and missing the field of 64 should lead to conversation about the coaching future.
  19. Well, that's that. I refuse to watch an NIT game.
  20. Puff came to Carolina as a good shooter. He was a good shooter last year. I could swat the ball in the general direction of the rim with my dick better than Puff can shoot this year.
