I've always thought Peyton Wilson was a helluva player and I don't get why he isn't thought of by the NFL. He has great size, great speed, smart player. What's not to like?
Yep. It's best for him and for us honestly.
Without elite QB talent I can't see a Mack team winning more than 3 or 4 games. Maybe a backup QB looking mediocre would be enough to convince Mack to retire.
That's the frustrating thing. They were actually decent early on and then they just completely fell apart. They went from being our best defense in recent years to actually somehow being our worst.
It's what I'd be telling him to do. This team has quit. You have an NFL career to protect. Don't risk injury playing in some poo tier bowl in front of 5000 people.
Every Mack team folds down the stretch. This team was just the best one he had and folded harder than the rest. He's too old for this. It's time for the beach house.
Oh sorry, you said Florida. Brain fart on my part. Yeah, I don't know what they're doing. You're in it in the 4th quarter against an undefeated top 5 team. Let it all hang out. You got nothing to lose.
They aren't playing Carolina. You usually play conservative with a backup QB. As Carolina fans we're just used to our D making them look like Joe Montana for one day.
Were they in the second half of the season? If yes, not a fluke. This has been our norm under Mack. We have folded like a cheap suit in the second half of the season year after year. I just don't think he can sustain it down the stretch at this age. He just doesn't have the ability to coach a full season. I can't make anything else make sense.
