  1. No such thing as a sure thing in the draft. Sure looks like Shanny has probably whiffed on Lance.
  2. I think they would've probably stuck to their guns and drafted Mac Jones like they likely originally planned to do. They were doing really well until their wish.com version got hurt.
  3. Honestly, we're probably going to be connected at some point or another to virtually every QB who is draft eligible between now and draft day.
  4. I definitely look forward to more creative uses of Chinn. Just having him primarily play as a deep safety for the past two years has been a waste.
  5. I would assume but I don't know. I honestly think he could play either DE or NT in a 3-4. I'm curious about his role because it think we're probably going to want him to lose or gain 20 pounds or so depending on which way we want to go with him. You don't see many 320 pound 3-4 DEs or NTs. 300 at DE or 340 at NT seems more fitting.
  6. Burns and Luvu have to be happy. Did anyone ask a follow up question on what Derrick Brown's role looks like? Brown and Chinn are the two that I want to know what the plan is for.
  7. How many elite QBs didn't have at least very good arms though? Arm strength is THE factor that gets more QB prospects overdrafted than any other individual factor but there's a reason for that.
  8. I like Stroud a lot and would be very pleased if he's on our roster next year. He sold me with the UGA game, much like Fields did with his Clemson performance previously.
  9. I don't think we can afford to try to get cute and trade back a few spots and still land a Richardson or Levis. If we like one of those guys and he's there and we haven't made our love yet just draft him right there.
  10. Especially if the rumors are true that the Colts QBs weren't exactly Reich's choosing. No way he took this job to get stuck with Sam Darnold or Matt Corral. We have an owner who desperately wants a QB. We have a coach who couldn't get over the hump at his last stop because he didn't get a QB. If we don't do something aggressive at QB I'll be shocked. I just hope we make the right call while doing it
  11. I honestly don't think it would be THAT big of a deal for us to switch to a 3-4. Our edge rushers are already best suited in a 3-4. We need some retooling on the front seven either way.
  12. I feel like I'm blushing just watching that. Maximum cringe.
  13. Yeah, if I had the choice of two more quality non-QB starters or a legit franchise QB, it's a no brainer. I'm taking the franchise QB all day everyday.
  14. Mack and Quinn I understood as a rebuilding team. Both big money vets on the wrong side of 30. But Smith was just entering his prime. They should've kept him to build around on D because their roster is just gutted.
  15. Any team that would pursue a Lamar Jackson trade would probably at least entertain a Fields trade and have three more years of rookie contract to work with.
  16. I definitely don't think the Bears would have much trouble finding good offers for Fields if they did decide to go with a QB at #1. Whether we'd be among the suitors or not I have no clue.
  17. Pacheco looks like he's going to be a damn good RB. Just another reason not to spend premium picks on RBs. I'd honestly be just fine if we never drafted another RB higher than the 3rd round ever again. You can find good RB production in the mid to late rounds every draft class.
  18. The only "fix" under Hubert Davis is the shooters getting absolutely red hot. I'm honestly not sure we'd look any different if the head coach for the day was decided by a lottery amongst the fans in attendance.
  19. It's fitting that their mascot looks like it has a BAC higher than it's IQ.
  20. Can Rex Ryan coach college basketball? Asking for a friend.
  21. When Dean retired he hand picked his lead assistant as his successor and it flopped because he could coach but he couldn't recruit. When Roy retired he skipped over his long time lead assistant because he wasn't an alum and hand picked his second lead assistant and it's going to flop because he can't coach.
  22. I honestly hope we just start getting blown out from here on out. Hubert has to go.
  23. It's true. Watch them turn down crazy offers to take a guy they probably could've had several picks later.
  24. We are just a bad team. Bad teams find ways to lose games. I honestly don't think Hubert is going to prove to be the answer and we'd be best served to just realize it and fire him after this season. I just don't see any actual coaching happening.
