  1. Well, maybe he's seeing that he was the dumbass in that scenario. It happens. We're all dumbasses occasionally. What separates the dyed in the wool dumbasses from the occasional dumbasses is largely the ability to recognize when you were being a dumbass.
  2. Yep. Brilliant in finance doesn't automatically mean brilliant in football. Colbert is only 65. Tepper is 64. Colbert has already announced he's retiring after the draft. Unless it's due to health or family reasons, convince him to come fix this mess and mentor a heir apparent. Pay him whatever he wants. What's it to you? You're worth billions. Tens of millions are a rounding error. You say you want to build a winner. You say mediocrity isn't acceptable. Prove it. Right now, we need considerable improvement to get back to mediocrity. Marinate on that.
  3. Tepper, please step away from the football operations. Offer Kevin Colbert a blank check to run the football operations and you just play Monopoly money with the business side of the house.
  4. I agree that a change of philosophy is needed. It's just bigger than OC.
  5. It sucks the Dolphins have been eliminated from the playoffs because no one would want to play this team right now. Gotta be the most dramatic season turnaround I've ever seen.
  6. You kinda hit the nail in the head here, you're just too dense to see it. Rookie. 11th year NFL vet. Not exactly an apples vs. apples comparison. You think the Jags are ready to throw in the towel on Lawrence because he struggled mightily for the majority of the season?
  7. @jackson113 the Panthers are dead to me as long as Rhule is on the sidelines. Might as well stop 'ing but you do you.
  8. Gonna start with the Niners/Rams for the mid-afternoon games.
  9. 7 of the Steelers' 9 wins this season came on game winning drives. That's unreal.
  10. Boswell makes it. They're in the playoffs as long as the Raiders and Chargers don't tie.
  11. Why are the Steelers kneeling? This is still a 37 yard attempt. Yeah, you expect an NFL kicker to make it but it's basically a modern XP and we all know those are no guarantee anymore. I'd still be running the ball.
  12. Wow. And now the Steelers convert a 3rd and 9 to get into Ravens territory.
  13. Damn. Big time throw and catch on 3rd and 7 to move the chains for the Steelers.
  14. Baltimore is probably relieved to have the opportunity to punt here. Huntley is throwing danger balls left and right. It's like they've forgotten they've had a lot of success just running it down the Steelers' throats all game.
  15. He was a guy I had bookmarked as an interesting potential 3rd round pick for us, he just didn't quite make it there.
  16. Agreed. I think he's a good backup for Lamar which is still a helluva UDFA pickup. I've just seen people talk about him as if he's a future starter and I don't know about all that.
  17. Huntley just isn't very good. He's basically a little better version of PJ Walker. He's not a terrible backup option for Lamar Jackson but the folks thinking he's a starter might wanna pump the brakes.
  18. The Steelers lose their nerve and punt from their own 40 on 4th and inches. Ravens ball from their 18 with 2 timeouts remaining and 38 seconds to go. Tucker is gonna break the Steelers' hearts.
  19. Note: the Steelers have won 6 of their 8 wins via game winning drives.
  20. Tucker sneaks a kick inside the left upright to tie it up with 1:13 to go. Steelers will take the kickoff with one timeout remaining.
  21. Big Ben to Claypool for the lead. Steelers up 13-10 with just a shade under 3 minutes to go.
  22. I have no idea why Smith fell so far. Most draft pundits had him going as early as the 2nd, 4th at the worst. They were better than NFL talent evaluators in this case.
