I wanted Emmanuel Ogbah. He was pretty much a bust for the Browns but he's coming off back to back 9 sack seasons in Miami.
-
All world talent, he just doesn't want to be a football player. Didn't produce in college either. Got drafted on pure talent.

One of the dumbest 1st round picks we ever made. Not only did we reach on a small school DT with mediocre measurables, but DT was one of our strongest position groups at the time. If you're going to reach, at least reach at a position of need. If you're going to make a luxury pick, at least do it on a top shelf prospect. It was just an all around dumb pick.

PFF Best & Worst of the Washington game
LinvilleGorge replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can understand this mindset given our recent raving success. Oh wait... -
Where did I say that?
-
I mean, you might just be onto something here. The Pats basically did the same thing with Mac Jones last year and the Pats and Steelers are two of the very best ran organizations in the league.
-
Option 1: we drafted poorly Option 2: we've done a very poor job of developing him Option 3: both 1 and 2 are true
-
And you're Mr. Positive no matter what. Pot, meet kettle.
-
Oh wee mayne. Listen, I hope you're right. I just don't see any evidence to support such confidence.
-
It baffles me how we seemingly think that some decent preseason snaps will make the rest of the league forget about four years of sucking out loud in the regular season.
-
Its just amazing to me how confident some fans (well, admittedly very few to be honest) fans are that our coaching staff has everything under control with a flawless grand plan when all evidence and our record strongly suggests otherwise.
-
The starters are getting all the reps... meanwhile, Mayfield and Darnold are splitting the starter reps.
-
I guess we've fully embraced our role as a feeder organization for actual good teams.
-
I honestly think these guys believe they're going to be able to trade Sam Darnold and giving him more time and reps is going to facilitate that. I think that their belief is very dumb. Do you really want to deny your 3rd round rookie QB valuable time and reps to maybe get a conditional late round pick while still eating the majority of Darnold's contract? Dumb.
-
If he's that fragile mentally he's not gonna make it anyway. I'm curious to see how he bounces back from what can only be considered as a pretty disastrous debut.
-
It's like once the staff determined he was unlikely to help them save their jobs this year then he just wasn't seen as a priority at all.
-
I just don't understand trading up to take a guy in the 3rd and then treating him like a complete afterthought.
-
The only play call I really didn't like was the final 3rd down. On 4th, PJ could've easily tucked and ran for a few to setup the FG attempt.

Worthless poo posts like this are why you changed your screen name. If there's nothing to judge, why are you posting?
-
Pretty much what I expected. About half the people posting about football the other half just mad at me.
-
I thought he looked pretty good. There were two plays that I feel confident would've went badly if not catastrophically with Darnold.
-
I really liked the down and distance management early on. On the first drive we consistently got into 3rd and short and converted. It's a lot easier to convert 3rd and 3 vs. 3rd and 8. At 3rd and short you have your full playbook available.

Darnold is a proven abject failure in the NFL. It seems like the only person who hasn't accepted this reality is Matt Rhule.
