Selfishly I'm going to see a lot of Sam Howell and Matt Corral. They were my #1 and #2 QBs in this draft class.

I'm not surprised. He was asking him about pivotal plays. Those are likely ingrained in his head after untold hours of film study.

Big surprise...Domino's Pizza did not pan out in Italy
LinvilleGorge replied to ladypanther's topic in Huddle Lounge
We have some good family friends who are first generation Italian Americans. They say pizza is the one Italian food that America does better than the Italians. With that said, obviously Domino's is not our finest offering. -
I'd take a deflated football signed by Tom Brady.

He was 300 pounds as a HS recruit. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/217018/mekhi-becton He was 364 at the Combine. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/mekhi-becton/32004245-4381-4547-3cf4-9d445d134d9a He hit 400 last year. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/jets_ol_mekhi_becton_reached_400_pounds_last_season_amid_recovery_from_knee_surgery/s1_127_37446762

Becton is a talented guy but everyone knew the weight would cause problems if he didn't get in better shape. He hasn't and it is.

Jerking the tag out from under Norman at the last second absolutely gutted that locker room and ensured we'd suffer the dreaded SB loss hangover.

They're really insisting on this joke of a "competition". Meanwhile, what is this staff's obsession with Pat Elflein? He's pretty terrible.

And Julio Jones just doing whatever he wanted to do against that rag tag secondary of rookies and cast-offs. I swear he could've gone for 500+ yards that day if they really wanted to be dicks about it.

How much playing time will Matt Corral get on Saturday?
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hopefully a lot. The scheme will be super vanilla. No reason not to give the kid plenty of run. -
Darnold literally has negative trade value. You can't include him in a trade as an asset.

Based on what?

I had a turf toe injury on my right big toe about four years ago. I have nearly constant low level annoying pain and it flares up significantly from time to time. Custom shoe inserts have helped significantly and it seems to get better and better over time but this is FOUR YEARS later. That's an average NFL career length.

Simms is right on the money re the competition
LinvilleGorge replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd say Baker has shown that he can be top 20 and has the potential to be top 10 if he can play up to it. That a helluva lot better than Darnold who might be top 50. Might be. -
Truth. The one common thread between all the different extreme and/or fad diets is avoiding sugar, processed foods, and simple carbs. Makes sense to pretty much just start there since those are the things that virtually everyone can agree on. Keto, vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, Mediterranean, whatever... they're all trying to avoid or at least significantly limit sugar, processed foods, and simple carbs.

Considering we're still waiting on Darnold to take his first preseason snap as a Panther I guess I won't be holding my breath. -

You can't imagine Rhule and company not playing a newly acquired QB in preseason? -
It's especially brutal for big guys. Lots of big men have had careers ended or derailed by recurring foot injuries. There are a lot of small structures doing a lot of work and when they get compromised it's tough. We all saw it with Greg Olsen.
-
It's been plainly obvious since we made the deal for awhile that we have moved on from Darnold. The comments coming from the organization as soon as the season ended screamed it. The deal for Mayfield cemented it. This "competition" is and has been a farce. The splitting of reps is idiotic and self defeating. We aren't fooling anyone, especially if we're openly shopping the guy. Once again, we're displaying for all to see that this organization is fuging amateur hour.

Good grief, what an awful take from a guy who knows better. That wouldn't happen in a vacuum during a game. If you have a DL forklifting one of your OL like that your entire protection scheme is busted. It's going to open up opportunities for others. This is what Kris Jenkins did for us in his prime. He didn't get a lot of sacks himself but him blowing up protections by take somebody out led to a lot of sacks and pressures.
-
Not to mention 10-7 last year with a rookie QB whose arm makes Teddy Bridgewater look like Patrick Mahomes in comparison.
-
Both. If Belichick had jumped ship to land on a loaded roster a head coach away from competing the results would've likely looked similar to Brady jumping ship to a loaded roster a QB away from competing.
-
I remember Irving and the rest of the gang looking bad, period.

Fairly unremarkable was a helluva lot better than the rest of the trash Rhule was trotting out at LT. Honestly, OL doing their jobs look fairly unremarkable the vast majority of the time. For the most part, if you aren't noticing an OL he's probably doing a pretty decent job.
