  1. I wouldn't live in Seattle for hardly anything. But, poll young rich folks and Seattle is going to come out ahead of Charlotte by a wide margin. That's just reality.
  2. Me too. I think holding onto Burns is a pipedream though. If Watson is a Panther I'll be shocked if Burns isn't a Texan. As blatantly desperate as Tepper is to get this done, I wouldn't be surprised if the Texans fleece us out of Chinn too.
  3. We'll have a D that has lost two of it's top three CBs and both of it's starting edge rushers (Houston would demand Burns). We'd also probably be short another key young starters, possibly Chinn. After spending the last couple of years building the D we'd be right back to the bottom of the league on D again.
  4. With no clarification. That could mean he's willing to waive it period. It could also mean that he simply won't block the move if it's the only option on the table. If there are two competing offers, Watson has the ability to choose his fate, that's all I'm saying.
  5. Rhule will likely be gone either way. He's over his head and Tepper is probably quietly swallowing that bitter pill.
  6. It amazes me that so many people seem to think this would be a good idea.
  7. It doesn't matter what players Seattle does or doesn't have to offer. At the end of the day, Watson has a ton of control over his situation via the no trade clause. If Seattle and Carolina both have offers on the table and Carolina's is better but Watson says he'll only waive his no trade clause for Seattle then it doesn't matter that Carolina's offer wa better.
  8. We're gonna trade everything for Watson then watch complaining for years about how Watson has no help.
  9. I'd like to add an addendum to the new historical marker outside of Cameron Indoor Stadium. That addendum being: "Also noteworthy is that many college basketball fans know this place as 'Hansbrough Indoor Stadium' after 2008 Naismith Player of the Year and 2009 National Champion Tyler Hansbrough went 4-0 here during his legendary college career."
  10. With the new stipulations the NFL is putting in place it's going to be difficult for any ownership groups to get approved. If you aren't an individual many times multi-billionaire you probably need not apply. You basically have to be able to come to the table cash in hand.
  11. Oh, it's gonna be a meltdown either way. If we trade the entire organization for him... meltdown. If he forces himself somewhere else... meltdown. The only thing I can guarantee coming out of this situation is a huddle meltdown.
  12. Damn. The ACC was a straight up joke this year in both football and basketball. Just yikes. Won't shock me if there's not a single ACC team in the sweet 16.
  13. Yeah, I don't think that's the BEST case scenario but you do you.
  14. I think people are forgetting he has two past torn ACLs too - one in college, one in the NFL.
  15. Agreed. Occasionally that cover 3 safety is going to roll over and drop deep just to add wrinkles, but he was covering the deep third way too much last season. He needs to be closer to the LOS the majority of the time.
  16. I think he probably is best suited as a safety, he's just not a deep FS. His best role is probably as a cover 3 strong safety. Think Kam Chancellors role in the Legion of Boom in Seattle. That's where Chinn would thrive. It's basically a hybrid LB/S role.
  17. No chance. I think they'll demand Burns and push hard for Chinn. If we trade for Watson I fully expect Burns to be a Texans.
  18. So two more years than Matt Rhule then.
  19. Great point. It was for the same reason. We're a lot closer to the Lions than we are last year's Rams. This is my point. You can't just slap an elite QB on a bad team and have a good team.
  20. I'm out of optimism for Tepper and Rhule's Panthers.
  21. I think he gets traded this coming week. Whether it's early in the week or later I have no idea but I think this is going to come to a head this week. The Texans, Watson, and interested teams all have to be tired of this dragging out.
