Rhule commits to Darnold as the starting QB next year after he throws 3 TDs... to the Saints.

Evidently what we've been seeing lately ISN'T an epic meltdown. Tepper has ran this bitch completely into the ground.

It's really pretty simple for me. If we fire Rhule and hire an offensive minded head coach, I want Howell. If we're keeping Rhule, I want Howell to go somewhere else for his sake.
-
I think his options may prove to be extremely limited until his significant off field troubles are cleared up. It seemed like it was basically just us and Miami left and Miami very well may be out now given their turnaround. It could be Carolina or nothing. Would Tepper really be willing to push ALL of his chips on the table to go all in on Watson/Rhule? Because, damn... if you swing a massive trade for Watson and it doesn't end well this franchise would be truly gutted at that point.

One thing that may change his calculus is Tua's improvement and Miami's dramatic turnaround. I don't know if Tua will ultimately be their long-term answer, but I could definitely see them cooling significantly on feeling the need to swing a massive trade for Watson given the second half of their season.

Matt Rhule responds to scathing report of volatile culture

Rhule vs. Gettleman with the NY media presiding. Now THAT would've been a great train wreck. -

Losing is one thing. Getting your ass whipped while looking hapless and your coaching staff being clueless as to how to change the course of the current events is an entirely different thing. -
In our current state, we're a terrible fit for anyone aspiring to have a successful NFL career. If these clowns are retained I honestly just feel sorry for the kids we draft.

Find a local rescue group that you like and trust. Talk to them. I bet they'd have no issue having you will your dogs to them in the event of your passing giving you peace of mind that your four legged companions will be well taken care of if that were to happen.

I'm worried that we've reached utter desperation stage. All thoughts of a rebuild "process" are going out the window and we're in a downward spiral of constant knee jerk quick fix solutions. Basically, we're the late stage Al Davis Raiders. Except we're not willing to fire a worthless ass coach.

If Matt Rhule is the coach next season, I will…
LinvilleGorge replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have always been a mediocre franchise with occasional flashes of greatness. Until Tepper. Tepper's best success came before he was able to put his "stamp" on the organization. Ever since he has, we've been a doormat and laughing stock. -
Pretty sure the NFL owners were forcing him to sell. Not just sell, but sell to Tepper. JR had clearly fallen out of favor since Snyder has done as bad or worse and there have been no cries from within the NFL to force him to sell. LOL @ JR. He always out the NFL as a whole above his own team and they still ultimately turned on him.

Not go to any games. Not watch any games. Cease to GAF as long as Rhule is here. Just watch good NFL matchups. Basically, go back to pre-Peppers draft pick mode. -
I'm afraid Tepper might just be realizing he doesn't know WTF he's doing so he'd rather stand pat and massage his ego rather than pull the trigger and blow it all up just too fug it up again.
-
He has brass balls though. Remember? Yeah, neither does he or anyone else. I guess Matt Rhule has those on his desk now.

Always planned to go until I spent more time in CH. Great place to spend an occasional weekend. Too big for me to want to spend four years of my life though. Then I got scholarship offers elsewhere and none from UNC and made a business decision. Still a fan. Same as how I've been a fan of the Panthers for nearly 20 years and yet you'd have to pay me NFL money to live in Charlotte.

Why? Because a billionaire decided to start up a football business venture nearby? Nah.

I agree. We've all seen Joe stumble haphazardly through practices and ask endless idiotic questions in pressers, but good for him on this one. Exposing the embarrassments of a billionaire that owns the team you make a living covering when no one else will is walking a dangerous line in terms of your career. Good for Joe.

If Rhule is still here I really hope we don't.
