  1. I'd be surprised if the extension talks aren't DJ Moore. Please no bandaid trades. Only make a trade if it's for a player who is in the long-term plans.
  2. I think part of it is that Rhule knows that the WRs have to shine. Like you said, they're a strength of the offense. They can't afford to have off days. We don't have a QB anymore who can carry the entire offense when need be.
  3. All good. Quick round of antibiotics took care of it. Thanks!
  4. I hope he does well but I'm glad we moved on.
  5. Or someone plucks Fitterer from us because he's probably stealable since he doesn't have final roster say
  6. I have a lot more confidence in our WRs than I do in Sam Darnold. They may have had a rough day as a unit, but Moore and Anderson are proven NFL commodities. Marshall is a talented rookie. Smith is a promising rookie. If Darnold doesn't deliver this season, I highly doubt it'll be because of our WR corps.
  7. I like Samuel but I don't think paying your 4th offensive weapon big money is a smart plan. Those are the roster positions that you have to continually churn and keep low cap impact.
  8. Don't let facts get in the way of his politically and emotionally invested (idiotic) opinions.
  9. We out all our QB eggs in the Darnold basket. We'll see how it works out. Let's just say that I'll be paying close attention to the college QB prospects. Hearing about struggles while wearing a red jersey isn't encouraging. Highly doubtful it gets any better once he's getting hit behind a likely below average OL.
  10. As opposed to faith that we will simply improve overnight as if by magic? That's the rational thought process?
  11. Okay. We shall see. I'm sure we're just intentionally sandbagging. They'll never see us coming once the games start counting for real. *evil villain laugh*
  12. The comparisons to highly successful organizations is baffling. I don't know where this confidence comes from.
  13. From the reports, this isn't going so well. Based on our joint practices with likely playoff teams, it sounds like we have a long ways to go to compete with playoff caliber teams. That's disappointing, but honestly it's also expected.
  14. We'll see. I still expect the D overall to be improved vs. last year. Everyone is panicking about the LB situation but it's no worse than last year. The DL will be improved. The secondary has considerably more talent. If the D isn't better overall, that's going to be a serious concern.
  15. The D is going to go as far as our DL will carry it. There's more talent in the secondary now, but they're still very inexperienced.
  16. I like Zach Bryan a lot. Another one coming up is Tanner Usrey.
  17. I don't see him being released either, but OL and LB are the two position groups that I'm virtually certain that there will be guys on our final roster that aren't currently on the roster.
  18. 7-9 wins I think would be good. That would be a step in the right direction. I said when Rhule was hired that based on his history, the first year would be bad. Second year mediocre. In the third year we should be legit ready to make some noise. That's if he follows the same pattern he did at Temple and Baylor. I'm not overly excited about the competitive losses. We all argued that Ron sucked because he couldn't win the close games. Most NFL games are competitive. You have to find a way to win them.
  19. I want someone to explain to me where this blind faith in Rhule comes from. It's all potential. It's all about the idea that he can build a winning team that can beat good teams. Because so far it hasn't happened. He was 2-16 against ranked competition in college. He was 0-11 at Baylor. 2-5 at Temple. Those two wins coming against a #21 ECU that dropped from the rankings after losing to his Temple team and finished the season 8-5 and unranked and against a #20 Navy team that dropped from the rankings after losing to his Temple team and finished the season 9-5 and unranked. We went 5-11 last year beating zero teams that finished with a winning record with the combined record of the teams we beat being 33-47. From what I can see, Rhule has basically made a living off of beating bad football teams. We hope that he can prove that he can beat good football teams but there's literally zero proof of that thusfar. I like Rhule. I think he can potentially work out. But this blind faith that some seem to have in him is just baffling and I would honestly like to hear what it's based on.
  20. What opinion did he offer that I missed other than I should change my opinion?
  21. There is actually a lot of damn good country out there right now. You won't hear it on the radio, but guys like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks, Colter Wall, Paul Cauthen, Ward Davis, etc. are fuging killing it right now. Honest to god, we might actually be in the golden era of country and most people have no clue.
  22. This. If you haven't gone back and listened to his stuff when he was fronting the bluegrass band The Steeldrivers, do yourself a favor and do that.
  23. Don't reach out to me to complain. I fully support this. Enough is enough. Much to your dismay, your internet "research" has not turned up information that the world's leading medical experts have missed. Spreading of misinformation is why we are in our current situation.
  24. I'm just getting tired of the brigade of posters who spend most of their time complaining that there are opinions that differ from their own. Not voicing their opposing opinions. Simply getting triggered and lashing out at the existence of differing opinions. It's just lazy and unproductive.
