Young vs WIlliams over the past three games

Development requires having the physical talent prerequisites -
And another turnover. This is ridiculous. LOL
-
It's another absolute turnover fest this evening
-
As a fan I agree. If I'm Dave Canales I saw Frank Reich get fired mid season last year. I'm probably wanting to go the route that I feel will make the team lost competitive any given Sunday.
-
I think Canales has seen enough to know that Bryce is not the answer. And that's honestly a very good thing.

Williams is definitely regressing and Bryce is doing what he can to maximize his skills but Williams still has significant upside that Bryce just doesn't have. We're still basically running a redzone offense all over the field because Bryce can't stretch the defense beyond that. -
After 6 years and 4 months I lost my best friend.

Yeah, I don't see those bending screens holding up well over time. I worked for Motorola for several years right when they were getting him the smartphone game. Left shortly after they sold to Google knowing Google had no long-term plans on hardware. They wanted Motorola for the patent trove. Motorola is owned by Lenovo (China) now. Personally, I've been using Google Pixel phones flashed with Graphene for years to get away from as much of the spyware as possible. -
I think he's pretty average and if you're under contract it doesn't matter if you want to leave or not unless someone is offering you a HC job. He'll basically get out of your unit what the roster is. If you have an elite unit he'll probably get you an elite D, average unit average D, bottom of the barrel unit bottom of the barrel D. He is as a coordinator what a game manager QB is IMO. You'll be what you are, he's not going to significantly lift you up or drag you down.
-
With a top 10 pick I'm saying QB, pass rusher, WR, CB, or trade down. Those are the only position groups that command that type of draft investment other than OT and we don't have need there. If there's a guy you project as an elite Ed Reed/Earl Thomas type of over the top sideline to sideline safety that qualifies too but honestly the top 10 worthy safety prospects only come around once every few years or so.

I wouldn't necessarily be looking at Evero's scheme projecting defenders to the Panthers in the off-season. Just saying. When you have one of the bottom units in the league and you're a holdover from the last staff your future is probably very much undetermined.
-
Which is just a statement of how historically bad Bryce has been.
-
This. Bryce has improved from not looking like he belongs on an NFL roster period to looking like he could potentially carve out a legit career as an NFL backup. If you're watching him play and you're seeing a starter you need to schedule an appointment with an optometrist pronto because your ass is going blind.
-
Bingo.
-
Unless they have OL injured that are going to return I'm not seeing a fix for their issues. It's the trenches.
-
This. Bryce is showing that he might potentially have a future as a backup. That is a big improvement for him.
-
Bryce is averaging 153 passing yards per start. NFL average this year is 214. 153 yards per game by team would be good for... checks notes... yep, dead last.
-
Having a legit pass rusher out there definitely sde a big difference.
-
I don't get where these people are coming from. Bryce was basically typical Bryce minus the turnover worthy balls. If he was out third stringer we'd be happy with that performance. He basically did what you'd hope your third stringer could do - just go out there and not do anything to lose the game. Chuba ran for more yards than he threw for and averaged more YPC than Bryce averaged YPA. LOL
-
No it's not. They have a good pass rush but if their pass rush isn't getting home their coverage is trash. They're allowing the third highest passer rating in the league.
-
With a future HOF QB going #9
-
This. Yep, he's playing better. The biggest thing he's doing is learn ming the throws he can and can't make at this level. And Canales is adapting his offense to that. The problem is that you're left with a very limited passing attack and Chuba's running is what is really carrying the offense. People were crying last year about put Stroud here and see what he does. Okay, put Bruce in Houston this year with no OL and no running game. What does THAT look like. LOL
-
He's regressing hard for sure. I always wondered how he'd handle the adversity that would definitely come at the next level. When he went running crying to momma it was like... oh man... that ain't the guy
-
They'll make the playoffs but they're not contenders. Their OL is trash and the end result of that is that they have no running game and Stroud is constantly under pressure.
-
I wonder if an NFL team has ever won a game when they've thrown five INTs prior to tonight?
-
Devastating loss for the Texans after getting embarrassed by the Jets. Serious gut check time for them. They're probably safe for the playoffs since their division is trash but they gotta be SHOOK right now. No way they should've lost these last two games because the Jets are trash and Goff threw five picks.
