It has been a nightmare ever since that guy bought the team. Our best season under him was his first season when he said he would be focusing entirely on the business side of the organization before "putting his stamp" on the football side. Well, the only stamp that's been put on the football side is the mushroom stamp our opponent puts on our face every Sunday.

I flipped that switch about halfway through last season. Like damn, I can't waste Sunday afternoons doing this anymore. If we're gonna be competitive, great. If not, I got other poo to do. And I'm done watching games after we need to be playing for draft position. Those are no won situations. If you lose, you still lose and that sucks. If you win, you're just hurting your future chances by costing yourself draft position and that also sucks.

I was saying as soon as we parted ways with Rhule that Nebraska should be all over him. He has proven he can turn college programs around and drag them out of the gutter and make them respectable again. He hasn't proven he can take them the next step to make them true contenders but first thing's first. Nebraska had to get themselves out of the gutter.
