  1. Unfortunately, it failed for a reason. People don't want to watch a second rate feeder league and constantly lose their best players to the NFL.
  2. I'd be surprised if Rhule gets fired this early. He'll nab a college job and take a good chunk of the staff with him (definitely Phil Snow). You'll be left with McAdoo, Wilks, and a skeleton crew to finish out the majority of the season. That's a long time to try to keep the organization held together and the locker room from falling apart. That's why coaches are very rarely fired this early in the season outside of big time off field concerns. Tepper has made his bed, time to lie in it.
  3. Also, if you make an entire division in Europe, what does that look like? The best expansion plan would be to go to 36 teams and six divisions of six teams. But six teams in Europe? No way that's happening right out of the gate. I think if they do dip their toes in Europe it'll be two existing teams relocating to Europe, one in London and one in Germany. It'll be the Jags going to London. Tepper will be fighting hard to take the Panthers to Germany. Other teams I could see being in that fight would probably be the Bengals, maybe the Bucs, potentially the Titans, the Jets wouldn't be a total shocker.
  4. For the same reason a lot of folks with the opportunity to relocate internationally ultimately choose not to. Distance from family and friends, totally different culture, climate, etc. There's also the tax implications and need for two households if you're not uprooting your entire family. That's a significant financial burden for a rank and file NFL player who is trying to make enough money in his NFL career to be set for life.
  5. If you're talking specifically to me, none of the above. If you're talking to the typical NFL player, probably all of the above.
  6. He's right it would be easier as a division simply because it would alleviate some of the very significant logistical problems with scheduling. Still, the logistical problems are MASSIVE. On the field, the Euro teams will have a huge home field advantage and a massive away game disadvantage due to those logistics. In terms of luring free agents... man, the Euro teams are going to be at a huge disadvantage. No legit star is gonna wanna go there. They're already doing fine here. You could have an advantage luring in good but not star level talent with the pitch of potentially becoming a star in Europe. But your real disadvantage is with rank and file roster players. Low level starters, good backups. Why would they go to Europe unless you're significantly overpaying? The NFL just sees $$$ but I see a lot of issues, both logistically and competitively.
  7. Cliff notes: Basically McAdoo is trash. The RPO game is the staple of our offense and it's trash. We're not feeding our workhorses and Mayfield is a limited QB schematically and we're not playing to his strengths (play action). Smitty did give the D props. Said their biggest problem is simply getting worn out from being on the field all game. IMO, it's very clear at this point that Phil Snow has been the reason for Rhule's success. Rhule is the pitchman and Snow is the actual brains behind the operation and that's why Rhule has always coached defensive focused teams with "good enough to get by" offenses. Except "good enough to get by" at Temple and Baylor ain't good enough to get by in the NFL.
  8. Here's the bad news. Every Rhule team had played it's best football in the first third of the season and gotten progressively worse over the course of the season. We're playing our best football right now, as sad as that may be.
  9. Having previously been a part of one of the best ran organizations in the NFL I can fully understand why not.
  10. We suck and Gilmore will age out before we don't suck. I didn't want to re-sign either of them.
  11. Yikes. Bad time to completely blow a coverage.
  12. When he puts that braided leather belt on it takes him back.
  13. I'd rather slam my dick in a car door.
  14. Look at those QB stats!!!! I tried to tell y'all in the first half that this feels like watching Mayfield vs. Darnold
  15. A 9-9 tie after OT would be the perfect ending to this poo show.
  16. Of course this terrible game looks destined for OT.
  17. They converted that but that was a dumb call. A FG forcing the Colts to need a TD basically seals this game. I'm not sure the Colts could score a TD with no defense on the field.
  18. Somehow they're probably gonna be 3-2 after this game. Yeah, it's fool's gold and they'll end up drafting top 10 if Wilson can't jerk his head out of his ass but still. They're right in the hunt currently despite looking like complete ass.
  19. Oh, we don't deserve any credit. Russell probably said no and Watson ended up saying no. We failed to land them based on no shortage of effort on our part.
  20. They traded all that and backed up the Brinks truck for a guy that looks like complete ass. Like yeah, I'm super bummed about our QB situation and have been for years, but damn... at least we didn't do THAT. And don't forget, Deshaun Watson looked about like Matt Corral in preseason so the Browns might be right there too.
  21. To hide all that money he's stealing from the Broncos.
  22. The Colts' offense is honestly even worse than ours as unbelievable as that is to say. The difference is CMC.
