I predict that he will be scrutinized, criticized and marginalized by most of the fans. I expect that he will be vilified, crucified or glorified by the fans no matter what he does. So business as usual. Personally, I think he will eventually be the best qb we've had since Newton. It may not show at first but it's there and will show itself as the season plays out.

He's on the way to being elite. He needs some help on the line because without him this defense would not be half as good as it is.

In reality they've been scouting most of these guys since high-school. The Panthers evaluate 2 years of players game film as well.

A trade blows everything up. With as many trades that has happened so far has basically turned it into the wild west. In essence you just have to get a guy that you've scouted that's within reach and hope to find a trade partner. That's if the cost is bearable. Sometimes you get Intel through other trade talks that some team ahead of you is taking your guy forcing you to make a move, if you can get a partner. It's all a gamble.

It's that way with every draft. You can count on it.

You worry too much about age. If the coaches are not worried why should you be? He has zero development in the nfl. Give the team time to bulk him up and teach him a few things then let's see what he does under these new coaches.

He is a developmental pick. Huge upside with this guy.
