Who knows? There were a lot of rumors floating around at the time. I thought Reich tried to hire the qb coach from the eagles as OC? That's how I remember it anyway.

I can relate to everything you've said @Mr. Scot. My experiences on the forum have brought me to the realization that the Huddle is no longer a place for me. As a fellow long standing member here I want to thank you personally for all the contributions you have made to this joint over the many years we have been here together. The bs you've had to deal with by others here is unwarranted and ridiculous. So i do not blame you for leaving. I am spending a lot less time here for largely the same reasons. I'm one foot out the door myself. And I'm sorry to hear about the health issues you and your significant other is having. I hope all those things clear themselves up for the better. Keep Pounding my friend.

That's not what was rumored. It was posted on here somewhere right after the interviews.

Wilks wanted to hire Frank as OC.
-
This is true. He had a hard on for Young long before the trade up.

I'm not sure if everyone else is ready for them to open the playbook. Bryce is not the only person that has to have full grasp of it. Whatever the issue is they better figure it because the staff in Huston sure has.

He could if they limited his running.

Observer: Is it time for Panthers to go to Andy Dalton?
Jon Snow replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
You were not alone in the trade up decision. I too didn't think this team was in the position to waste picks on one player. They were and still are not one player away. -
He ended up with the worst team in the league after all. I feel for the kid and I hope he can forget all of that because you cannot change it. The league is an unforgiving beast that chews up promising players and spits them out annually. The odds were always against him making it in the nfl. Unfortunately his team cannot help him pull out a win on his own as they are reminiscent of a high-school squad.

He's not worth what he's getting paid right now. None of them are. But in his case he is massively overrated and demanding far more compensation than what he brings to the field. I'm looking at you Fitterer.

They have the 1st overall pick right now. On top of that they will still have their top 5 pick, mostly likely the 2nd pick. As thigs stand right now I cannot see any way we do not finish dead last in the standings. -
At this rate they have it locked up.

Are the still people who pay to read that rag? Fascinating. -
There's only so much a coach can do with a player. The product on the field reflects 80-90% the players talent and the rest is a result from coaching.
-
If he is it would be short-sighted. He didn't draft or sign the players he's coaching, just saying.
-
It seems he is currently on that limb all by himself. Whether he has company will be determined in the next 5 or 6 games me thinks.

The statement made by Frank at one of his first press conferences about his and Fitterer's roles was that Fitterer got the players and he decides who plays. Take that how you will. He followed with their standard " its a collaborative effort" bs. It's stuck with me from the time I heard it. This "collaborative" and "diversity of thought" talk seems to not be working so well.

They are definitely not helping matters. But they are only part of the problem. The roots run deeper and talent issues fall on the GM and his staff. The system falls on the coaches (who were hired by ?). The all star staff is looking to be part of the problem. Who chose who and who hired who is what I would like to know. I remember Frank admitting there had been some heated discussions among the coaches after the second loss. Something to monitor I suppose. Anyway, its a mess.

I cannot put my finger in it just yet. There's just so much FUBAR it's just so confusing to be able to make a decision on what to say. It's honestly the only reason I'm watching at this point. I'm baffled as to why it is so bad.
-
I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that this staff is all of a sudden incompetent. I'm not buying that ALL OF THEM has suddenly forgotten how to coach. Something isn't right and it's more than limited talent and bad coaching.

I don't know if you could have planned it to go any worse for this team than what is taking place right now. Literally everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. The odds of that are mind blowing. Something has to go right for once, it has to, the odds dictate it. I'm just as perplexed as anyone on here. There's some bad juju in the building I'm afraid.
