Matt Ioannidis is signing with the Carolina Panthers, per source
Jon Snow replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Noticed that most if not all these signings are one year deals. -
Probably because his opinion went against Tepper and Rhule's.

Three top 10 QB's refused to play for Matt Rhule.

From what I see I do not think he has a choice. The chain of command doesn't flow through Fitt. -

Short version, Rhule is toast either way. Darnold can't save him. None of these rookies coming out certainly can't starting day 1. Unless he signs a FA to get him above .500 this season he's out. Can you say backed into a corner? -
The Panthers were Watson's very last chance to get out of Huston. Watson was only going to come here if no one else would take him.

I'm loving this.

Then just laugh right along like I do. Try it, it's liberating. It makes the rare win even more joyous. That's how I coop.

I stopped when the Hurney 2.0 era started. You guys are extremely late to the party.

The next draft is the soonest that they have a realistic shot at a possible solution at qb. If they hadn't squandered their 2nd and possibly 3rd round pick maybe they could have taken a chance on one of these kids in the second. If they want one in this draft they are forced to take him at 6 because no team is trading up for one of these qbs. Someone behind us would be more likely to jump ahead of us for one of those LT's than trade with us.
-
Maybe the lowest at the moment. But brother it could get much worse and most likely will before it gets better. Its going to take a better coach and some luck finding a qb before they started to climb out of this hole. But I hope they beat Atlanta's ass twice a season if nothing else.

That was my reaction when I realized Tepper was going to be a terrible owner.

I still can't stop laughing. I had tears in my eyes from laughing when the news broke. Sorry, I just can't stop.

Baker Mayfield Requests Trade from Browns + UPDATE
Jon Snow replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
Baker would make a great backup for a franchise qb. We have neither a franchise or backup qb on the roster at the moment. Were I the coach I would put PJ out there to ensure the number 1 overall pick. But I couldn't get away with that because it would be obvious I was tanking. Free PJ! -
Tepper with egg on his face again. I can't wait to see what kind of bullshit he tries next.

Maybe they are not as high on him as his fans are?

It might get them drafted but it's not an indication they will make it in the NFL. Everyone gets hung up on the players that look the part but hasn't yet put it together. Coaches fall for that because they think they can make them a baller. My theory is that if they can't produce under pressure from the best competition in college then don't count on it in the NFL. It's not going to happen in the NFL no matter how much fans think it will. The NFL doesn't suffer fools and my friends the Panthers are owned a ran by fools.

Perception is subjective, or something like that. I'm leary of grades on players from anyone because it's always based on how the observer precieved they did in the past, which is fine, but it doesn't guarantee future results as we all know. If I had to guage how these signings improve this team as a whole I would say unknown. The olinemen is a welcome addition and hopefully will help out but he alone will not make any difference. So I said all that nothingness to say that I don't have a clue how these guys will make a difference, if they make one at all. Grading the attempt to improve by signing players is a net positive I guess.
-
Grade? By what measures? They haven't played a down for us yet so I'm confused.

You have not begun to see how bad it can get. Until there's someone in charge that's been a part of and has help build successful teams this is what you should expect. FUBAR.
