Sirianni about to be serving whoppers next week.
-
The franchise will be on its 5th permanent head coach in 10 years of ownership by the Appaloser.
-
This team responded to Wilks way better than anyone else. So I’d say the leader of men type. Unfortunately Tepper’s little brass balls seem intimidated by that personality characteristic.

Next year? lol. Maybe try 2055 after Tepper dies.

It has a lot to do with being a well run franchise.
-
Exactly, or hell even Teddy could have been a vet mentor.
-
Green Bay didn’t panic and trade their entire franchise away for a bust at #1. They drafted a guy late in the first and let him sit behind a vet until he was ready.

The packers are only in this game because of the refs on Christmas Eve.

TPS Graded All 31 First Rounders from 2023
BIGH2001 replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
This gets repeated often and maybe it’s true to an extent but outside of one half he showed absolutely nothing all year. Even on bad teams there are plays to be made and he literally turned in the same performance every week. 60% completion, less than 200 yards passing, 1 good drive per game, less than 5 YPA. It was like clockwork. He didn’t appear to improve at all. And then there’s his lack of about every trait that makes a franchise QB a franchise QB. He wasn’t worth what we traded for and never will be. I’m confident that book has already been written. The only question is can he avoid making it the worst move in NFL draft history. Color me skeptical, the dude plays like Clausen. -
And Tepper is still out here wanting an “analytics” guy as his GM. Hey dipshit, you can’t model your way to success in football you fuging dork.

The Alabama quarterback: not an NFL weapon.

Throwing the same floaters to the sidelines.

God this is pathetic. I think Tua is Bryce’s ceiling too.
-
Tua is trash and Miami is clearly not built to win in the elements
-
Good thing Miami signed Justin Houston for this game
-
Surprised they didn’t have to include some Alabama plays to even make a highlight reel. I think there were maybe 2-3 plays the entire season that I thought were better than what you’d see on average day from an average QB.

Lost by 36 points to a 7-30 team. Lololol

I still remember specifically Ricky Williams scoring on a run play on the last play of the saints game. I also remember that team losing a huge lead against Buffalo late in the season and a two score lead against Washington. They were also competitive against the rams in Charlotte. They didn’t really quit until the last two games.

Recency bias will play a role in this response. Also some people aren’t even old enough to remember 2001. Having watched all 3 teams I never went into a game in 2001 thinking we didn’t have a chance to win. That team lost a ton of close games and was better than this year’s team and 2010. 2010 and 2023 are very close for me. I’d have to give the slight edge to this year being the worst because the 2010 roster had some talent and some of those players went on to play on the good teams between 2013 and 2016-17. From a talent standpoint, 2023 is the worst team in franchise history and would have finished 0-17 if not for two miracle drives at the end of games. Only team in league history to not hold a 4th quarter lead. Yeah, that does it for me.

They started drafting much better after the Manziel era including 2017 where they got Garrett and David Njoku in the same draft. Fitterer has spent years wasting top round picks on useless players which has set the franchise back to where it is now. Hurney got poo on but the team never fell to levels like this largely because he always hit on his first rounders and they became foundational pieces of the team. It’s no coincidence that our best player on the roster was his last first round pick. Meanwhile Fitterer brought us a guy who cant stay on the field, a left tackle as bad as Byron Bell, and an undersized QB who just completed a season where we saw next to nothing to give anyone hope for the future. Fix the front office and we can be a lot better or at least able to be competitive.

With Panthers cleaning house how safe is Bryce
BIGH2001 replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Will wait to see who the new GM is. If it’s someone like Dan Morgan he’s more safe than he should be. The right answer is he’s the starter going into next season but should be evaluated critically with consideration towards moving on if there’s a repeat of this year and not much growth is shown. -
Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired
BIGH2001 replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is how we end up with Dan Morgan as the new GM.
