Could we change the sidebar image to something else?
BIGH2001 replied to MRenshaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know it’s been said before but this looks like a kid dressed up as a football player for Halloween. -
It wouldn’t have mattered. There’s always excuses when the games don’t count. Or if he looked like he did against Buffalo it might have taken them longer to make this call, so I’m good with the short exposure and then epic failure we witnessed. It’s what the org needed to see to move on from this disaster.

It would have taken Bryce two full power throws to match the distance of PJ’s Hail Mary against Atlanta.
-
Barring injury he's done in Carolina. The dude just doesn't have it. He's somehow worse than he was last year. 2-16 as a starter, 1 TD and 13 total points over his last 4 games and it was a lucky rushing TD that was almost a fumble in a game that was completely out of hand. He's not an NFL QB.

Good high level breakdown of the disaster that was Bryce yesterday. Basically, as well knew/suspected. Not seeing the field, not recognizing coverage or reading defenses, panics and checks it down before allowing the play to develop. Guys are open and plays were there to be made but Bryce either wouldn't or couldn't make them.

Moving on quickly from Fitterer’s biggest mistake. I like it. Maybe Tepper has finally turned a corner.

Geno Smith was a second round pick for an awful Jets team. He bounced around for several years before figuring it out in seattle. He also had to be a backup behind Eli Manning and Russell Wilson, which probably helped him learn without having the pressure of leading the team.
-
Outscored 108-13 in the last 4 games and he hasnt thrown a single touchdown in that time. In 8 of the last 9 games he hasn’t thrown a TD. The only exception is the Green Bay anomaly game.

Worse To Watch: Jimmy Clausen Era or Bryce Young Era?
BIGH2001 replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is way worse. 2010 was a tank year and Clausen only played so much because Moore got injured early. Plus he was a second round pick and easy to move on from that. I think young might actually be a worse pro QB too, which is unfathomable. -
But that S2 test.
-
No respect at all from the safety. He came crashing down as soon as he saw young reach the top of his drop. Everyone knows he’s not throwing deep. This is essentially the same thing Jessie Bates did in week 1 last year. Now 20 games later here we are.

I think Young needs a sports psychologist…..
BIGH2001 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
This. That horrendous play yesterday where he rolled left and got sacked to take us out of field goal range was exactly the kind of poo he did at Alabama when he was “extending plays.” The only difference is the college D-line could be held at bay long enough for him to look downfield for 4 seconds so that his 5* receiver could beat the other team’s 2* nickel corner for a deep ball. In the NFL you get like half that time if you’re lucky and everyone is a 5* corner. He isn’t making the plays or the right decisions to be successful at this level. And it’s not just sometimes, it’s every fuging time he touches the ball. -
That’s fair. I think Tepper made it clear during the coaching search that whoever was hired would have to magically turn Bryce into an NFL QB when almost all of us knew after last year that it probably wasn’t going to work out. As a first time NFL head coach it’s possible that Canales doesn’t want piss off the owner.
-
Still saying the same thing years later...
BIGH2001 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
He won’t. He supposedly hired a “search firm” this time and we ended up with Morgan and a coach who had no other interviews lol. -
There has to be something from his past that someone can uncover. Maybe he used a racial slur 30 years ago?
-
David Tepper continues to rewrite the record books.

This is true. A franchise QB has to be different. Think Cam, or even Jake who was just a fearless gunslinger trying to make plays. Young plays like he’s just trying to run out the clock. With his physical limitations it would really take a lot more mentally for him to be the guy. He would need to be someone like 89 who just doesn’t give a fug and wanted to rip the other team’s heart out every time he stepped on the field. The difference is Smith was tough, he grew up in a bad neighborhood and was a fighter. Young has been a coddled baby, always “the man” in college and high school. Now that he’s on this level his weak ass mentality is making him even worse.
-
His average completion today was 3.2 yards. He plays like a scared little bitch and even his checkdowns are now inaccurate. That’s just not gonna cut it at this level.
-
Then I don’t want that either. A Tepper puppet is useless.
-
If Canales doesn’t bench him I’m going to seriously question if he has the ability to be an NFL coach. To survive in that job you have to make decisions that benefit the team. Keeping Bryce in the game is disrespectful to the other 52 players who presumably want to win, along with your assistant coaches who want to actually win games to advance their careers.
-
Best play at this point is to bench him and maybe some team will think he can be a serviceable backup (lol) and will give you a 5th for him this offseason. The more he plays the more his value goes down. If that’s even possible.

Announcer: “His little jump pass is knocked away”
BIGH2001 replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the first game where the announcers finally started bashing this clown. Not sure what took so long. -
Cam keeps saying he’s still better than a lot of guys in the league. I have to believe he could do way better than whatever the fug young is doing.
