  1. If the coaches watch film and there is a God in heaven, one would have to think so.
  2. Sure looks as though we were bringing in our hopeful PS players early in this process. I am speculating that everyone after Bersin., Ball, Brown, and of course, Boykin gets an offer. Tough day for your last name to begin with the letter B it would seem.
  3. I called this back in early August. Word.
  4. Tech problems? I am seeing repeating posts.
  5. Stewart Artis-Payne Wegher ...............Solid. What are the chances we cut BOTH Todman and Whittaker?
  6. I think they are going to PS him for depth and hope he stays there. If is could mean they are making room for someone else--
  7. Yes, but I watched him get abused. I am not sure they bring him back to the PS.
  8. Areas of interest (to me, anyway): RB, DE
  9. With Boykin, Bersin, and Brown cut, that leaves us with 6 WRs. Byrd has PS written all over him--are we going to sit with 5 and grab a free agent toniight/tomorrow?
  10. Is Norwood basically the same skill set Bersin provides? I think so--same basic size and hands.
  11. I think he has lost all confidence and he was never smart enough. Cut him and never draft an OL playing elevated high school football again. Hurney.
  12. About Tolbert making the roster: I just don't see the value. He is no running back, he is no fullback. He can play special teams. He is beyond the age RBs peak. He carries too much weight
  13. I realize this ship has sailed, but I was catching up on my reading, and I thought this comment needed a bit of expanding/ I agree, and here is why: Marlowe has a chance to become a complete S, while Harper and Jones are rather one-dimensional. Marlowe has a bunch of technique work to get down, but when he does, I see Marlowe, Boston, and Coleman as the future at S-and a pretty good group.
  14. I have not considered this, but it seems logical.
  15. I made changes (I have not been at practices like Jeremy has) so take it for what it is worth. However, I question a few of the bubble choices based on a few plays and few hunches. I added comments to explain my "genius" in bold. When I was done, I looked back at the big picture and wondered why I would keep Marlowe and let Todman go if special teams was the reason I kept Marlowe. If Marlowe is not ready for us he probably is not ready for any roster, so he should be safe on the PS. If we keep Todman, PS Marlowe, then we have quality in the post-Stewart/Harper era. I am leaving what I have, but when all is said and done, keeping Todman over Marlowe makes more sense.
  16. THanks for sharing. Wow. Very close to my ideas. I am not sure Cox makes the roster, but I see the argument for putting him (or Miley) there. Your PS is solid too. LB is a bit scary, but we have Glanton and Mayo on the PS. I would love to see Marlowe make the backup SS and play Coleman at SS---but RR is in love with the slow-ass veteran Harper. Teddy Williams played himself onto the roster--if he continues to play well, we are set. I am tired of WR and CB being our weakness.
  17. Rivera and Gettlemen got an infusion of young talent last season and went from something like 2-7 and made the playoffs. Not only do I see this as a thematic scenario, I think this is accurate. The only change I would make is this: Foucault has looked terrible. Doubt he makes the roster. On the fence about Cotchery, but this was a youth-themed roster, so I get it.
  18. If Gettlemen's words mean anything, then these 2 should make the team ("The best 53 players make this football team.") Personally, I think both will get time with the 1's next week. Whittaker and Brockel need to pay attention.
  19. My WR corps based on the first half tonight: Funchess Boykin Ginn Bersin I would run double tights a lot.
  20. Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but Remmers is at LT and looking good.
  21. Let's have some Love for Matsko and the OL First, I want to say how refreshing it is to know that we have promise at the OT position. I tip my hat to Matsko (perhaps the position coaches need an award too)---he takes a bust, a Practice Squad player, a fourth-round rookie, and a former DT and turns makes them respectable at a very tough position to play for a big man. Norwell is one of my favorite players. It is hard not to have a soft spot for him. To put that into perspective, I was talking to an Ohio State Alumnus the other day, and he has season tickets. He knows every player on the team, who they are recruiting, assistant coaches etc. He sang Norwell's praises--was shocked that he was not drafted (we argued about it--he thought Norwell was a sure-fire fourth rounder) In addition to that, we have Remmers increasing his value and repping at C andTurner coming of age at RG. I see the stability forming. Just love me some Norwell, that is all I am saying.
