  1. You are drafting the player, not the school. Bama OL, when compared to their productivity, tend to underpeform their draft spots--they are inflated. But to say Neal was way better---not according to the film I watched. Ickey will not be great during the first part of the season in pass protection, but he should develop because he has the tools. I'd take Ickey over Neal all day long in run blocking, and we want to run the ball more. We drafted an RPO QB as well, so he is perfect for where we are heading.
  2. Basically, the players with high football IQ tend to do better, even if they are 2 tenths slower, 20 pounds lighter, etc. Give me smart players all day long.
  3. Yes. This was my pick. I hope Corral, but I thought Smith could be dangerous. Considering how we had only 1 day 1 or 2 pick, we did ok in this draft.
  4. So if you had Russell Wilson in round 1 and he goes round 3, were you wrong? In other words, until year 3 or so, nobody knows-even those of you with brains.
  5. You have to look at contracts- Bozeman will want to get paid in 2023. BC would give them an option. Remember, we will not be in a great cap situation come 2023 and Spiderman will want a few coins. Oh, and smart Centers are more valuable than Left Guards.
  6. but we need his tweets--it is a double-edged sword.
  7. I can say this--we were lucky to get Corral in the third round. I think he is under-rated. Play him when he is ready and never look back--
  8. We have a streak going of 5 wins per season and Darnold is still the QB and Rhule is the coach. Nothing to see here.
  9. 4 Corners would not have caught 9 bass. He would have caught 9 basses.
  10. Message to team: Panther front office leaders are dumbasses.
  11. Because a rush linebacker and a QB is pretty much the same thing.
  12. Thank you--the skills are there, the leadership is there---all he needs is some protection and a running game, and this guy will turn heads.
  13. I still say he should not play much in 2022. But I think he has just as much upside as any QB in this draft--I would rather have Corral over GI Joe Hands Pickett.
  14. when was the last time we did not play Pittsburgh in the preseason?
  15. He is inconsistent and wears out his welcome quickly. I think he is motivated by money and not the love of the game. Hard Pass.
  16. According to the roster, we have 3 #15. Trickery! I like it.
  17. I think that this class could be as good as last year's group. Here is why: Last year's QBs all came from optimal situations for QBs--Bama, Ohio State, NDSU, Clemson, and BYU (if you consider their schedule). This year? Liberty, Pitt, Ole Miss, UNC---not ideal situations. This year's group will play for better teams than last year's group: Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Carolina (gulp), and Washington--as a group, better.
  18. Starting RT for the Raiders' and NC A&T alum Brandon Parker is someone I have known since he was 4 ft tall. This is a cool opportunity for area kids. Pass along if you know someone who might be interested: Sorry if not Panther related-
  19. Tom just loves the spotlight. It will be a nice novelty for a while, but it will fade fast.
  20. I think we are thin at DT--lotta unproven players.
  21. I didn't know Clowney was interested in playing.
