Good news is he is 7 years younger than Testaverde when he started for us. He is also well rested, and seems to be excited to have the opportunity.

It's time to unleash Dalton. No more dink and dunk.

Yeah I think this is going to be the same thing that Wilks did with Darnold. Run the ball heavy with the RBs and new OL and use Dalton to hit them deep on the play action. Canales was very PA heavy in TB last year. -
I don’t know. I will be interested to see if this change motivates the team at all. Maybe guys will play harder and have more energy after the change. Completely possible they play the same, who knows

Could we change the sidebar image to something else?

Agreed -
Betting line has went from Raiders -7.5 to Raiders -5.5 in about 24 hours.

Dude, I'm just happy we might see a 20 yard pass.
-
Yeah, I've wanted to say this since week 1 but now we have reason to.

I like Ewers, Ward, and Allar. I'll pass on Sanders and Beck. I don't think Dillon Gabriel is 1st round talent.

Jack Plummer enters the chat.. Or you know a guy from from Pittsburgh who may have lost his starting job this weekend.
-
I'm not so sure it wasn't the other way lol. Canales said yesterday the QB is Bryce. Then this happens following the supposed "monday meeting"

The Dalton era has began.

Would need somebody else to pick him up. -

If he were waived, I think he would make it through waivers. I also don't know that anyone would pick him up longer than just to kick the tires. -
7 of those belong to Rivera during Tepper's first season. So really it's 24-61.

Wonder how the Monday meeting is going.

I would have just put Bryce's 2-17 record up there.

so I've got to ask.. is it worth it being a fan of this team?
ProcessBlue2 replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been a fan for a long time. I was young the first few seasons but still kept up with the team distantly. Didn't really become a "die-hard" until probably 99/00 or so. I have never seen the team go through a rut like this or have this level of hopelessness season to season. I guess this is what some of the other franchises went through. I think we will eventually figure it out, I don't know if that 3, 5, or 10 years from now- but eventually the tide will turn. It's hard to be a fan right now, and like I have told people: If your mental health can't take the strain, do yourself a favor and just come back later. If you don't have the money don't waste your money on gear, tickets, etc. Do it when you can. If you have other things that are more important, focus your time and energy on those things, the Panthers will still be here. There is a very large portion of our fanbase that used to pack BOA stadium that is lying dormant right now because of one of the three points above.- 64 replies

Newton, Person, Quick, and Fowler all had them.

Good question

After like week 2 or 3 he got benched for Clausen. I remember reading an article or watching a presser and they said Matt walked over to the coaches in the 4th Q and suggested it or said he was done or something. He came back in though mid-season but then got hurt after beating the 49ers. EDIT: I could be wrong, but I swear I remember hearing/reading that.
-
If he cared about his teammates he would bench himself like Matt Moore did. Problem then was Matt Moore wasn't nearly as bad as Clausen. I'm starting to think Clausen is better than Bryce.

As I watch this 4pm game, I had a terrible thought about future that I won't speak into existence but it involves a certain veteran QB who is injured right now and familiar with our coach and GM. In 2-3 weeks there will be half a dozen players demanding trades if nothing changes.

Well his coaching is creating about half a million drinking problems in the Carolinas right now.
