My biggest fear about a DC getting the job is Tepper burning up the phone to bring Kellen Moore in to be OC

I think Falcons hire Belichick or Chargers hire Harbaugh in the next few days. I know both have interest in Johnson but I feel like they are kinda competing with one another on their HC pool. No clue what Tennessee is doing, they are interviewing a bunch of randoms so who knows. Seattle could go ahead and grab Quinn if that’s their guy. But they may want to hold out to talk to Johnson first.

Doubt it. It’s probably going to be drawn out a little longer now. Too many teams would have interest in Johnson, Monken, and Macdonald to go ahead and snag one now out of fear.

Evero gets 2nd interview tomorrow. But I don’t think anyone in the CC Round next week can interview this week. So Johnson, Monken, Macdonald, Wilks, Glenn, can’t interview with anyone.

I could see Halaby or Morgan. Just because Halaby is so entwined in analytics. Probably Morgan though.

If I had to guess, GM will be announced tomorrow or Tuesday. If they have gone through 2nds already then they are probably deciding through the weekend.

Personally I think the Falcons are going to go after Harbaugh and Bill is the back up plan. He interviewed with Atlanta so we will see.

Yeah our Defense finished like 28th in 2011 when he supposedly wouldn’t stay out of McDermotts ear their first season and then magically when he left him alone our defense went up to 10th in 2012. (Granted we also had Luke his rookie year).

Tabor, Evero, Monken, Macdonald, Smith, Morris, Quinn so far. Callahan/Canales tomorrow and Johnson on Friday. GM interviews that have been confirmed so far I think are Kelly, Halaby, Morgan, Samir, Dodds, Harley, Matteo, Tilis. I think the only ones left for round 1 are Disner, Brown and Greenberg unless those are already done and didn’t make it to the beat reporters.

Yeah I figured it would be a while for HC but I really figured we would be hearing "something" about GM candidates

Does anyone know if the Panthers have done anything the past 3 days or did they just take a long weekend at the house. They haven't shared anything coach/GM related since Thursday and Friday was the last interview rumored by an insider (Rapoport mentioned Halaby)

They have been having trouble with that this season. Whatever happened after the Ravens game broke something. Lions fans have been complaining about this saying they haven’t played 4 full quarters of football in months.

It wasn’t out of joy as much as arrogance complaining about every little thing that didn’t go their way and claiming it was rigged. I heard the Dallas game ref comparison like 30 times. I watched them berate a Broncos fan asking him where his team was and telling him his franchise was trash. I’m sure not all are this way but jeez. need humbling already

We are not the new lions. We have been to two SBs in the last 20 years, they haven’t done it the entire era. Not counting playoff wins, etc.

I have to be honest. I sat beside a few Lions fans tonight, and I really really hope this success of theirs is short lived. This was the most obnoxious football experience I’ve ever had. It was worse than Eagles, Steelers, or Cowboys fans. I’ve been to away games in Philly and Pittsburgh- sitting beside them here was worse than any of that. That fanbase don’t need long term success

I have pretty much gave up on Harbaugh or Ben Johnson coming here. At this point I don’t really have favorites. I have a list of coaches I would be fine with and a list of coaches I don’t want near the building. I guess if I had a pick a favorite with the two above off the list it would be Slowik or Macdonald. Slowik apparently controls everything for Stroud on that offense and comes from a successful tree and Macdonald just seems like a guy that’s going to have a John Harbaugh type career.

Raheem Morris losing some credibility

I believe they interviewed Steve Wilks too. Looks like they are definitely looking for the DC type. Could be ones of these guys or BB.

History says there was bound to be a bust in that Top 5. Analytics was screaming it about Bryce but nobody wanted to listen.

After some research on Champ Kelly, I think I would pass. Guy recommended some horrible signings as Bears Director of Pro Scouting. You can go look but Garry Williams, Amini Silatolu, and Nate Chandler were 3 of them. (If you guys remember them) Bears had a 48-65 record in his time their in Director of Pro Scouting and Asst. Director of Player Personnel. Hell, he has a 14-20 record as AGM for the Raiders the last two years and their 7th overall pick is heading in the bust direction.
