  1. Opinion or fact? Obviously fact Opinion or fact? Let go of your pussy and just answer the question.
  2. 2 G, 5A, 7 pts last week. https://media.nhl.com/public/news/14728
  3. Where was an opinion among your statements? Remedial grammar should be some of your tuition costs. Fug off, little one.
  4. In other words, you're just as much of a fugging idiot as they are. There are a lot of things that "used to be done all the time" that just aren't safe right now. That McDonalds where you wash dishes? They're only allowed to have so many people inside, right? You're not working as much now because of that, right? Get over it.
  5. And, in typical ass-fashion, UNC celebrates with a super-spreader event on Franklin Street... again. Such a shame all that tuition spent on an education and they're still idiots.
  6. Isn't Carolina something like 13-2-2 against Florida over the past 2-3 seasons?
  7. Gotta play strong in the 3rd. Should have scored on the PP and held a 2-goal lead going to the third. Svech or Trocheck will put this one away in the 3rd.
  8. $14.5M is the tag number for OL this year. Moton is coming off a 4-year, $4.15M contract. From $1M to $14M in a single season.
  9. From a purely statistical perspective, Carr is between top 10-14 in all the meaningful QB stats last season. Granted, he doesn't have a DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett to boost those numbers.
  10. And neither the Cowboys nor the Raiders are in need of a QB. That being said, Dallas GM Jerry Jones is fugging brain-dead and picks head coaches the way Trump picked cabinet members. Thinking a 32-year old Russell Wilson has more upside than a 27-year old Prescott is just dumb. Let's not forget this is the same team that will leave Zeke standing on the sidelines for 3 plays when it's 1st and goal from the 3 yard line. The Raiders? There's very little difference between Carr and Wilson- both can scramble and run, Carr probably has a better arm and he's 6 years younger than Wilson. Carr took some sacks last season, and the O-line in Vegas needs some work, but one of the reasons Wilson wants out of Seattle is because he's become a human pinata.
  11. As soon as you can convince me that parents and politicians are smarter and know more about the pandemic, the virus and its effects than science, I'll start to listen to them. Otherwise, if I had kids, I'll defer to the scientists. I don't give a fug what parents, school boards and politicians say. Wow, one kid, huh? Gee, I didn't have to attend most of my junior and senior year classes because I was a varsity basketball player. My grades were assured and attendance was optional. And I still graduated early. And that was almost 50 years ago.
  12. Nope. There's a reason it's called the Champions Tour. It's not the PGA Tour. He has 82 PGA tour wins, but in reality he's won a poo ton of tournaments if you include all the non-PGA events.
  13. Think about it- Detroit is terrible and won't sniff the playoffs. They got a face-off in the offensive zone against a very gassed Canes shift and going on the PP. Pull the goalie and take a chance with a 6 on 4. All you need is to win the draw and control the puck against a dead-legged Canes shift. A quick goal on the PP and you put the goalie back out and wait a couple minutes before pulling him again. Tripp said it best- was a gutsy move by a coach giving his players a chance by taking a risk.
  14. Could very easily have caught a 2-game suspension there. Not sure why he felt the need to do that. Was Fabbri taking shots at other guys? Only reason I think Pesce would even do something like that is if he or one of the other guys took a couple cheap shots from Fabbri.
  15. Only 2-3 commercials per game now, usually in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
  16. If I were a man of faith, I'd be praying for his brother. After all, he's on the Detroit Red Wings.
  17. He's made a few bad decision this season that cost the Canes a couple games. But, look, if the team doesn't come around, the reality is he's playing for his resume and that could translate into a very good year for the Canes if he really comes around. On the other hand, Bean is 6'1" @ 190, Dougies is 6'6" @ 230 or so. I prefer a D with some size to get physical when needed- and I think that's been a factor in the playoffs against the Bruins and Caps and a few others who like to play hard- they just wear down a smaller team. Carolina has the 6th highest paid D roster in the league at over $25M, but they're all under contract for a couple years, at least. Nikita Zadorov (Chicago) or Brandon Carlo (Boston) will be available.... I'd take either.
  18. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2126020/report-tangible-gap-between-hurricanes-hamilton-in-contract-talks Something's got to give in the negotiations between the Carolina Hurricanes and Dougie Hamilton. The two sides have held discussions about a new contract for the pending unrestricted free-agent defenseman, but the talks have simmered since February and there's "a tangible gap" between what Hamilton's camp and the team are looking for, reports The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. Hamilton would be the best blue-liner available if he were to hit the open market when eligible July 28. The 27-year-old is in the final season of the six-year, $34.5-million pact he inked with the Calgary Flames in 2015. Calgary traded him to the Hurricanes in a deal that sent rearguard Noah Hanifin and forward Elias Lindholm out west in 2018. Hamilton has thrived since joining Carolina, forming one of the NHL's top pairings alongside Jaccob Slavin and posting 0.6 points per game with stellar underlying numbers over two-plus campaigns. The 6-foot-6 defender has posted one goal and 13 assists while averaging over 22 minutes of ice time in 22 games this season. Carolina is expected to have more than $28 million in cap space for 2021-22, according to CapFriendly. ------------------------------------------- Read elsewhere: Dougie wants $8.5M and the Canes offered $6.5M per year. Gotta be honest, he might not be around next year.
  19. Isn't Tepper the guy who had to tell Hurney to tell Rivera to get Cam off the field, ultimately resulting in him going on the IR, because he couldn't throw the ball down the field anymore? Not saying it should be the norm, but there are times when coaches and GMs are so deeply involved (call it "head in ass syndrome") that they cannot see the forest fire for the trees and it takes someone on the outside looking in to point out the obvious.
  20. Was going into the office for a little while Saturday morning and the local Cracker Barrel parking lot was overflowing, the mall was jammed and there was more traffic on the roads than I've seen in a year. What does this mean? I'll be watching the numbers surge again around March 8-12.
  21. https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/03/us/tiger-woods-black-box-investigation/index.html The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will retrieve data from the black box in the Genesis SUV courtesy vehicle that golf legend Tiger Woods was driving before his rollover crash last week. The department told CNN in a statement it executed a search warrant for the black box but had "no additional information regarding the recovered data." Speaking to USA Today, Sheriff's Deputy John Schloegl said Tuesday the development was just due diligence and he didn't consider the probe a criminal investigation. "If somebody is involved in a traffic collision, we've got to reconstruct the traffic collision, if there was any reckless driving, if somebody was on their cell phone or something like that," Schloegl told the news outlet. "We determine if there was a crime. If there was no crime, we close out the case, and it was a regular traffic collision." When CNN reached out for clarification on the warrant, the department declined to provide further information. Authorities have previously said they believe the incident was "purely an accident" but they would have to pull the black box event recorder from the vehicle to make that determination. Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies gather evidence from the car Tiger Woods was driving when he seriously injured on February 23, 2021 in Rolling Hills Estates, California A long road to recovery Woods was driving last Tuesday in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles, shortly after 7 a.m. PT when his SUV crossed a median and veered across two lanes of road before hitting a curb, hitting a tree and landing on its side in the brush, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said last week. Tiger Woods has a long, uncertain road ahead after car crash, emergency doctor says He is believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash, authorities said. There were no skid marks or other indications of braking, according to the sheriff. The 45-year-old sustained injuries to his leg that required a rod, screws, pins and a surgical release of the muscle covering -- which surgeons likely believed would save his leg from amputation, emergency physician Dr. Jeremy Faust told CNN last week. While he is recovering, Woods wrote in a Sunday tweet, "It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the tv and saw all the red shirts." His words came after several PGA Tour golfers were seen wearing red shirts Sunday as a tribute to Woods. "To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time," Woods added. --------------------------------------- Total bullshit coming out of both sides of the Sheriff's office. Woods required major and immediate surgery upon arrival at the hospital. You know there was a toxicology screen done when they took blood. And the Sheriff's office announced they had wrapped up their investigation before Woods was out of surgery. And they got a warrant to retrieve the black box? How are you getting a warrant signed by a judge unless you're conducting a criminal investigation? You need probable cause to suspect illegal activity to get a fugging warrant!
  22. Canes looked as though they played 4 nights in a row. They were so gassed in the 3rd period, I was very worried they'd lose the game. Both Preds goals in the 3rd were tired guys on the ice being out of position or a step behind. Thankfully, the empty netter by Aho when Fabbro couldn't find the puck was enough, but there were plenty of chances for the Preds to win that game in the 3rd. Much needed rest today.
