The division is up for grabs. Cousins is not a winning QB anymore, he's also 36 coming off a major injury. Penix might be something though.

Bryce Young just magically flipping a switch and being good all of a sudden would be a welcome change to this franchise, hope it continues

WR1's in the top 10 have had more impact lately than the pass rushers in the top 10. I also said rare circumstances like Nick Bosa. Would you take Ja'marr Chase or Aidan Hutchinson? Travon Walker or Drake London/Garrett Wilson? Both easy choices for me. Game has became a offensive talent league

I'm tired of weak arm quarterbacks. Allar or Beck for me. Recently the top of the draft has proven that except in very rare circumstances like Nick Bosa or Sauce Gardner, the pick needs to be a QB or a someone who can be an elite WR1. None of the other positions matter or hold as near as much weight compared to QB or WR1

I think Atlanta, NO, and TB are all pretty bad. Which makes it all the more frustrating Tepper couldn't get a good team together by now despite rebuilding for 4 years

Legend of the Game: Armanti Edwards
amcoolio replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was probably overwhelmed because he was playing a position he never played before in the highest level right off the bat He was given no leeway to learn the position either Still maintain we should have just played him at QB once Clausen started sucking. He at least would have made plays and been a little exciting which is something Clausen couldn't do -
Would the Carolina Panthers move on from QB Bryce Young?

If Bryce plays really freaking well and they are 4-13, I still think they move on from Bryce. Tepper is not patient -
Would the Carolina Panthers move on from QB Bryce Young?
amcoolio replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
They will move on from Young if he doesn't win at least 8 games. I'm sure some team will take a flyer on him via trade. They'll chalk it up to bad team bad owner and having two coaching staffs in two years -
Bet at least 200 dollars on the win total under (they have to go 5-11 or worse to cash in), which I think is a lock with how this offense has played, and you'll win money watching the Panthers lose and it will make the season tolerable

Despite what you guys think the team isn't married to Bryce longer than this year. If they are picking top 5, they will pick a QB, unless they can swing a deal for Prescott or Hurts before the draft. Canales literally cannot be fired this year because Tepper can't fire three head coaches in a row, so this is a building year and make-or-break year for Bryce. There's also recent precedent of teams giving up on their QB very quickly - Pickett, Wilson, Lance, Fields, Mac Jones, Ridder - so Tepper won't look bad ejecting Bryce after this year unless Bryce wins 8 or 9 games with noticeable improvement

Imagine if we drafted Milton and he played like that for us last night, the boards would have already sent Bryce packing

PFF grades: vs Patriots Best and worst

Cade Mays was a projected high 1st round pick before his last year in college. The last 3 years have been brutal for him -
Bryce Young won't play in preseason opener

I'm fine with not playing Bryce in this weather against a traditionally dirty team, but he better play the next two weeks -

If Bryce doesn't play this preseason and then looks bad at the start of the regular season I'm already out on the coaching staff and now Tepper is 0 for 3 in 5 years However this could be the grand scheme to get the #1 pick and start over again. If they know Bryce is not it in training camp, then they are screwed regardless

Meanwhile, the guy who I wanted in the 2nd before we wasted a pick on a RB that won't play this year.... I fuging hate this team. We can't draft for poo
-
Yeah I wanted Ladd or AD over Legette, and that hasn't changed. This team just cannot draft WR talent. Bill Belichick loved Legette, that's all you have to know about this situation. I am pulling for the kid but do not have high hopes whatsoever. Bryce needs WRs that can separate, and XL has never been able to

I think they rushed when they needed to take 4-5 years after Endgame and plan out what to do next. They planned it all that summer. That's what money will do unfortunately. Its fine, the MCU from Iron Man to Endgame was extremely good and thats a good set of movies to always revisit (besides Thor Dark World - ew) The new MCU is just too much multiverse content, which cheapens emotions because now you don't really care what happens to the characters. They are brought back almost immediately if they die. IMO they should have skipped the multiverse stuff entirely, or just kept it contained in the Loki series and tie it in a bow that way.

If was a billionaire owner, I'd have a player development coach for every single player throughout the entire year. Just to work on fundamentals and body training. "Too many voices in the ear" these coaches would only work on fundamentals and would directly report to the position coach. I always found it kind of odd that the team leaves the players alone for half the year, I know there's player's association rules but you'd think they'd come to a compromise on that

Training Camp Day 2: Electric Boogaloo
amcoolio replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fitterer might be the worst drafting GM in the history of the National Football League At least Hurney hit on first rounders -
If there was a way to do "PROPER evaluation" or "a method of really peeling back the layers on these players" then there would never be QB busts taken in the 1st round my guy. It's a crapshoot. Always has been. We've had "perfect generational prospects" taken in the top 5 that bust. We've also had projects or QB's with questionable traits taken in the first round that boom. The Patriots and 49ers have drafted complete bust QB's in the first round in the last 5 years alone.

You're right, their out is after 2028 season. If he doesn't improve they are mired in mediocrity land, which is probably worse than fishing for QBs at the top of the draft Carolina's mistake was trading up and being impatient because of the owner. Landing an elite QB in the NFL is very very hard to do, trading a bunch of assets for a coin flip is very risky and it backfired in our case
