    His deal was very team friendly and odds were he was gone after year two of the deal anyways because the Panthers had it set for him to get cut with little dead money after year 2. Most of Fitts deals are set up like this. It's been a recurring theme so far.

    Omg so dramatic. Also B.S too. That's the best trade to #1 by any team in the modern draft. Pretty easily too, especially from slot 9 as well.

    Eliminate the draft picks and if he was a fa, I still wouldn't want the Panthers to give him 40m a season fully guaranteed with his playing style and injury history...no thanks.

    In on Timo deal and being screwed by SJ messed them up. I live in Chicago, Kane pushed for the Rangers and wouldn't go anywhere else. For the rest, teams asked for Jarvis or more, Canes said no. Few deals was asked for nisshi and said no.

    Yea I have. They wasn't going to give up Jarvis or Necas for Timo, plus SJ screwed the canes and had them holding for a week. They offered SJ 1st round picks plus prospects. That's not cheap.

    Where is this cheap thing coming from? Necas is going to get a pretty big deal aav wise. They are generally middle of the road in payroll.

    Great add for power play, probably the biggest weakness on the team outside of a sniper/finisher.
