  1. I pretty much thought all the talent available to us was pretty much 2nd round talent excluding Goldman (which we really don't need a DT) and Green-Beckham (who has character issues). Of course I would have taken Dorsett, who is right on the fringe of first round talent.
  2. Some of you guys saying you only like Devin Smith in the second round need to understand no quality receiver will be available at our pick in the second round. Devin Smith will like go early in the second, so he's not a reach giving the talent that was available for us in this mock.
  3. If I had my pick between burners, I would go with Dorsett, but I would take Devin Smith as well.
  4. I sincerely hope it's not TJ Clemmings or DJ Humphries!
  5. If Gurely fell to 23, I see the Panthers trading up and bypassing the Cards to get him. By the way, this mock draft is much more interesting to watch than that crappy McShay/Kiper mock show.
  6. A lot of us are familiar with these facts, yet if this is the case, why did Hardy pay her off? That was a very dumb move, seeing how strong his case was. He could have been vindicated by now, but he chose the shady route of getting off. Anyway, I'm tired of the media. I can't believe they haven't mention the bull crap of Hardy returning just in time to play his former team. How Czar Goodell was a business man about his suspension through and through. The closest anyone came to mentioning this fact, was Bob Ley. Who stated it was "poetry". As though its coincidence and just happened. The media has been terrible concerning this case from start to finish.
  7. It's going to get reduce to two games. I wonder if Hardy still says he's innocent seeing how the public is convinced he beat Holder and threw her on a bed full of guns.
  8. If a lot of "experts" think we should draft 2nd-3rd round talent in TJ Clemmings and DJ Humphries, I certainly wouldn't be upset in drafting a legit late first round talent like Dorsett.
  9. Yeah I don't get all this liability in coverage talk. That is media propaganda garbage. Firstly, Bama played a 3-3-5 defense. So they lined up Collins in man-to-man situations. Dude's not a corner, so yeah he got beat at times. Here, he will be playing in zone coverages, allowing him to use that speed of his to make plays. Even if you bought the coverage garbage, we all know Collins will be a step up from Harper. Though I said before, I like Tillman to play safety for us.
  10. I see him playing full time safety here, knocking Harper out of the starting line up. He's going to be one of those guys where the best years of his career will come at the end.
  11. He is one of the greatest turnover machines we've seen in recent years. Of course this will be a good signing. Dude created the "Peanut Punch". I for one would like to see him take Roman Harper's spot at SS. That way he can be even more free to play in space. I guarantee you if he does that, he will have 9 ints and at least 5 FFs this year.
  12. Amari Cooper is the only guy worth moving up for in this draft, and we should only do that if he falls to 11.
  13. I guess my argument would be regarding the ceiling of the receivers in question. Everyone agrees Cooper is the surest WR in the draft. Yet many are looking at Kevin White's ceiling as a reason to pick him over Cooper. The same could be said for Parker, Perriman, Beckham, maybe Strong, some might even say Coates. Personally, I believe Cooper will be the best out of them all throughout their respective careers. Yet sometimes these GMs start thinking too much.
  14. Ah, I forgot about Strong. The interesting thing to note is all these guys ran good 40 times. Out of all of them, Cooper is the smallest. No one expected Aaron Rodgers to fall as far as he did, and he plays a much more important position. I guess if Cooper does start to fall pass 15, should we move up to get him or should we gamble and wait?
  15. Yep. I doubt he will be there, but who knows. If a big guy runs a low 40 time, sometimes teams fall in love with that.
  16. All year everyone pretty much knew Amari Cooper was going to be the first receiver picked in the draft. Yet after Kevin White's combine workout, many now believe he will be the first wideout taken, perhaps by the Raiders. This morning I heard Kiper on Sportscenter talking about the possibility of the Rams taking Perriman with the 10th pick. Now my personal opinion is Cooper will still be the first receiver taken. I don't care about White's workout. The Raiders would be absolutely fools to pass up Amari Cooper just because a guy was a little bigger and a little faster. Yet like I said, now Perriman is being hyped up because he's "a little bigger and a little faster" (At least in terms of workouts) Well, DeVante Parker is "a little bigger" and about as fast. It's also possible for a team to fall in love with Dorial Green-Beckham. He's definitely bigger and the only questions around him are off the field. If it weren't for that, he most likely would have been the first receiver off the board. What I'm trying to say is, if Kevin White and Breshad Perriman are taking in the top 10, and Copper falls, what are the chances he will still be on the board when we pick when guys like Parker and Beckham are still floating around in the teens?
  17. Well, this is nothing but another year of Getts going dumpster diving in the off season. We will have to wait until the draft for him to do real work.
  18. Bad signing. People keep saying he will at least be good depth, well, couldn't we have signed just about anyone else for depth? This guy's ceiling has been reached. We need guys that will actually compete anyway, not just be in for depth. You can't have depth if you don't have starters. Honestly though, what in the world did they see in Martin's game that made them claim him?
  19. We brought in Keyshawn Johnson. He was supposed to be Shaq to Smitty's Kobe.
  20. Every time McCoy plays us, he always whines and complains about getting hurt. Ain't nobody scared.
  21. All the news people wanted Hardy to get at least 6 games or more. So they will probably sound off if he only gets two games.
  22. He could have simply said Oher could compete for the LT position, and that they are still looking things over. Last year they were saying some of the same things with Bell. Ultimately we went in with Bell and that was a disaster. In my eyes it's like history is starting to repeat itself. Besides that, I wanted to fill a need in free agency, so we could do things like going BPA in the draft if the guys at "need" spots didn't fit our bill when it is our turn to pick. As it is now, we are going to have a lot of needs heading into the draft. I think that is the wrong way to go about things.
