I don't really give a crap about the cap. Looking at teams that win consistently, I am not even sure if it matters. But in the end, if we win, they can get close to the red line every year. And if we lose, don't care how far under it we are.

All the talk is about Uiagalelei, but FSU's run defense was the worst part of their game by far. 263 yards, 5.4 per carry for BC, 199 and 5.6 per carry for GT. Some of the better teams would have rushed for 400 yards against them. The reality is that FSU's pass defense isn't even being tested because so far, passing hasn't been needed.

It wasn't admitted to by the front office, although they probably suspected he might. It was certainly discussed here and by a few in the media.

That one is a little surprising. I read an article yesterday talking about how Willis was improving. I guess Tn is all in on Levis.

From a historical perspective, its really not. Last year was kind of an exception in that three of the four first round receivers had good years, but more often than not, the first year is a struggle.

I don't think the success rate for drafted receivers is very high to begin with. I read an article the other day that said that less than 50% of receivers drafted in the first round ever have even a single 1000 yard season in the NFL. If memory serves, we have drafted three receivers in the first round in our history, excluding Leggette. 1 is a star that we foolishly traded. 1 got off to a good start, but flamed out mentally. 1 is a person whose name should not be mentioned.

Not that I want him in a Panthers uniform, but I wonder if Trey Lance will be cut after today's performance.

I got the impression that was intentional to an extent. The coach probably telling him to get the ball out quick or get out quick.

No They are going to work him slowly, as they should. If they work him in slowly and he becomes a good player by the end of this season or the middle of next season, then he is worth the pick. We have to take the longview on Legette and Brooks but that doesn't mean Leggette doesn't play.

If that is the worst mistake he makes, I think it might be a good season for him.

Trey Lance is not a good NFL passer.

If we carry six receivers, the 6th will have to be both receiver and special teamer, which leaves out TMJ I think.

A week ago, someone linked a twitter article that said we were going to trade him. Now we are going to pay him top dollar according to a twitter account. Next week, someone on twitter will say we are going to convert him to kicker. If he plays a full season, and plays well, we will likely pick up the fifth year. If he gets injured and misses much of the season, we will likely move on from him.

I agree 100%, and that I was I mentioned the performance. If the team comes out and loses a few close ones, but Bryce performs fairly well, I will feel better than I did last year.

He certainly had one of the best seasons in Panthers history for a qb.

I wouldn't mention Carruth in conjunction with Colbert or any other Panther player. Colbert failed at being a good NFL player. Carruth failed at being a decent human being.

If we start out 2-2, wouldn't that be in between. lol In all seriousness, I have no doubt that if we start poorly, then some will blame preseason. I wouldn't, but others would. The starters have played in preseason every year, and we have been terrible. I have my doubts that playing them or not playing this preseason will change things much. I think we are likely to start out 1-3 or 0-4 regardless of whether or not the starters play in preseason. We have been bad for years, and I don't think that is going to change in 4 games. I just hope to see some improvement in the offense. For example, it would be nice if the passing attack looks like an actual NFL passing game. Or scoring three offensive td's in a single game.

Questioning and backlash are two different things. Coaches get a lot of questions about a lot of things. I question why are we seeing so much of Plummer, but I don't consider that backlash.
