  1. In fairness, it was into a wind that was gusting 15-20 mph. I didn't like the call or the throw, but it worked.
  2. Dallas, Atlanta, and Miami also have better offenses than the Jets.
  3. At this point, stopping Atlantas offense is basically syopping Bijan and forcing Penix to beat you.
  4. So did Denver, Tampa, and Pittsburgh. This is the NFL, not college where you have to impress pollsters. All you have to do is win and move on. That being said, no one here thinks we are SB contender's. But its nice to be on the upside for a change.
  5. Lol, howell has bounced around the league, unable to stick anywhere. If the jury is made up of NFL coaches and GMs, then the jury is in on him and he is guilty.
  6. In reality, we have been a better team since the Saints game last year. Still not a great team, but a decent team. All i want to see this year is improvement. If we win a few more games this year than last and then improve again the year after, we might be good enough to be a serious contender.
  7. He is an inside power rusher, and with Hunt out and the Jets Dline playing well, it just wasn't there. He did look a llittle hesitant though.
  8. After today, Justin Fields might be.
  9. I went to the game today. The defense was fantastic. JC's Ints were great. DB was dominant. Not sure if they mentioned it on TV, but by the 4th qtr, the wind was gusting 15-20 mph. It was having a noticeable impact on the passing game. I am amazed Daltons moonshot to XL worked.
  10. Meant we are NOT trading for a QB at this point
  11. You guys are amusing. We are trading for a QBat this point.
  12. The only call that annoyed me was when we passed in third and 1, early in the game, knowing we were going to go for it on 4th. Run it twice there and we probably make it.
  13. First time i have seen him, but he looks better than any college QB ihave seen so far.
  14. rodgers played pretty well. I saw one of the interceptions, and it was a great play by the corner, and a bad play by the receiver. But Flacco lit up the Steelers d.
  15. Well, now we get to see if Flacco can lead them on a game winning drive.
  16. If the Bengals and Rams made it to the Superbowl, they could call it the geriatric bowl.
  17. What is Joe Montana up to these days?
  18. That was just a great play by the DB.
  19. I'm not. Bengals could be decent with Flacco, and I am not sure the Steelers are that great. They look good at times, and barely adequate at others.
  20. No doubt he wouldn't have helped much against Jacksonville or NE, but football like most sports is a game of almost. One or two clutch catches on that last drive against AZ, and maybe we complete the comeback.
  21. My guess is that it cost us in early games, especially with Coker and Sanders out. But if the QB does get in sync with the younger/new guys, that it could work out well in the end.
  22. New England and Jacksonville thrashed us in all aspects of the game, no doubt about that. Regarding the Atlanta game, Atlanta got the vast majority of their rushing yardage in the second half, when we didn't care to much about the run. As an example, Nathan Carter on the Falcons last drive when it was 30-0, had runs of 3 yards, 4, 9, 9, 10, and 9. Throw in two carries by Bijan when we were up by 20 or more in the second half, and that is almost half their total run yards that were mostly meaningless. In the first half, we limited the Falcons 3 yards or less on all but two carries. They went to the passing game because we forced them to rely on the passing game. Against the Cardinals, we shut their run game down, most of their yards were Kyler Murray scrambles. Might have been some designed runs, I can't remember. But their running backs did almost nothing. Even with the scrambles thrown in, we still held them to less than 3.8 a carry.
  23. Not really. The run defense has been solid except for the opening game and New England. We shut Arizona's run game down, but early turnovers hurt. And of course, we shut out Atlanta.
