  1. Eagles spotted Jacksonville 14 and have now scored 20 consecutive points.
  2. Terrible call in the Eagles game. Receiver got pegged for blocking before the Pass was thrown. Looked to me like he started while the pass was in the air. Didn't matter as the Eagles got a td later, but still not sure what the ref was looking at.
  3. I think if we have another 4 or 5 win season, Rhule is gone. In my opinion, that is a given. The question though is what happens if we win 7 or 8 or even 9. Would that be enough to get Rhule another year?
  4. Fwiw, I wouldn't be surprised to see Tepper go after Harbaugh. I don't want him to, but it wouldn't surprise me.
  5. One of the problems with sports media, to many people who really have no clue as to what is going on, have a take on it. My guess is this one is far closer to the truth. Three years is about the norm for a coach who doesn't win.
  6. Don't know if I agree. I certainly think Teddy is probably as good as Nick Foles, and he won a Superbowl with a great supporting cast. I am not sure the Dolphins have enough talent to win with Teddy. And we certainly didn't.
  7. With the exception of a few teams, it seems that scoring is down across the board this year. This game is kind of boring.
  8. Sam Darnold, for those who seem to have a poor memory of last year. (1) J.C. Jackson Pick 6 off Sam Darnold pass - Patriots @ Panthers - YouTube (1) Sam Darnold throws horrible INT vs. Eagles - YouTube (1) Sam Darnold spikes the ball into his own lineman... - YouTube
  9. It appears the worst of the rain might be over by Sunday at four. Personally, I hope it's too windy for much of a passing game.
  10. Only way Darnold plays this year is injury. And when he does, its time to start talking about the offseason, first round pick, and who the new coach will be.
  11. Fwiw, I think Ian has played ok that last couple of weeks. Given how little we throw the ball, the three catches are decent. And his blocking has held up well.
  12. 54 possessions a game would be the most dominant offense in the history of the NFL. Or the worst defense in the history of the NFL.
  13. I said offense, as in the whole offense. And the run game is part of the offense too. So those numbers count to. And most importantly, 14th in points per game.
  14. Why on earth would the Giants not call a timeout and try to get in fg range? Gano has a big leg. And why would the Cowboys call one for them? Maybe because the Cowboys knew the Giants offense couldn't move it?
  15. After watching some of the games over the last few weeks, I have come to the conclusion that our offense is not terrible. It is decidedly average. Unfortunately, some bad end game decisions and poor red zone play are the reason we are 1-2. I doubt those two things will get better, but one can always hope.
  16. got to admit I wasn't paying much attention, but it seems that most of the time, a blocked kick isn't the fault of the kicker.
  17. Looking at the stats for the season, we are tied for third in number of fg's made. Most of them are in the 30-39 yard range. And that a big part of our problem. Our inside the 30 yard line just fizzles.
  18. Personally, I don't think it's a matter of adjustments. I think the offense just has to get use to playing together. And its not just us. There seem to be a lot of offenses around the league that look out of sync. Tampa, Denver, Kansas City (at times), Bengals, Titans, etc.... I think its somewhat normal for September games. The teams that get it together contend for playoff spots. Those that don't, begin planning for the offseason.
  19. Have they? I mean their two wins are against teams that that have 1 win between them. They lost to a good team (by three scores), but their two wins, well I know SF was better last year, but they look pretty bad so far this year. And Texas has yet to win a game.
  20. In 2015, the offense struggled for the first 3 games or so. They didn't really get it together until the fourth game. I do think, that with the exception of qb, this team has more talent on offense than the 2015 team did. Of course, qb is a fairly important position. And 2015 had a more opportunistic defense that could win games even if the offense was struggling. But turn arounds, and improvements do happen. Do I think this is going to be like 2015? No, of course not. Could we turn it around and challenge for a playoff spot. We could. Will we? Probably not, but I will keep watching just in case.
  21. Fwiw, the next defense we face isn't going to give him that much open space.
  22. Sure, if Shi Smith had three consecutive seasons of thousand yard plus receiving.
  23. 60% of NET passing yards, not 60% of passing yards.
  24. Its still early in the season, but at this point, no team looks dominant. Well other than the Eagles, and I am still not sure about them yet.
