Yeah, he is 7 of 10, and at least two of the passes missed were drops. Can't blame a lot of the ineptness on him, at least not at this point.

At least the defense looks solid against average or below average offenses. The offense looks bad regardless of the opponent.

Has an NFL team ever done this? Rehired a coach that was essentially fired? I know that Washington brought back Joe Gibbs, but he retired, then came back.

Murray is feast or famine. Very inconsistent. I think the Cardinals are going to have to come up with some kind of innovative offense if Murray is ever going to have NFL success. Or maybe just a run heavy offense. Even if the Mayfield trade doesn't work out for us, at least we only have him for a year. Cardinals are stuck with Murray for a while.

Defense playing well so far. That was some terrible special teams play by the Cards. But we bailed them out somewhat with a penalty.

I didn't know that, so I guess it makes some sense. Five turnovers for Lawrence though, that is bad even with the weather.

I am only reading the drive play by play and it might be wrong, but it seems that the Eagles coach just made a stupid a$$ call. 4th and 3 on the Jags 21 yard line with an 8 point lead, and they go for it instead of kicking the fg? Fg gives them a two score lead with less than two minutes left.

And they win. They could be tied first place if Tampa loses to the Chiefs.

Atlanta with a shot to beat Cleveland even though their passing game has been terrible.

Fwiw, when I mentioned Brady, I was mainly referring to his time with the Patriots. Gronk was good, but generally speaking, their wide receiver/running back group over his last few years with the Pats didn't impress me that much. I think Brady made some average guys look better than they were. Although I do think the Patriots did a good job putting together a team that was better than the sum of its parts.

A great qb can compensate for some of that. Tom Brady did for years. But the team would have to be very very wise with the few assets and draft it did have.

Their defense is playing ok against a good Eagles offense. But two critical turnovers are hurting them.

Meh, it was good play for the defender and then the other defender was in the right place at the right time. Probably not a good decision to throw though. Steve Smith might have come down with it, but the average NFL receiver would not.

Its early in the season, but Hurts certainly seems to be improving and learning how to be an NFL QB.
